Abstract

During the operation of trolley crane systems, the anti-sway control of the suspended load is always a key problem .Due to the uncertain properties of the trolley crane model, it is difficult for the conventional PID controller to tune its parameters online, so it can not reduce the swing effectively. In this paper, we design a control system based on single neuron controllers which using single neuron controllers to control the swing motion. The computer simulation results show that the single neuron controller has better adaptability and robustness than PID controller in term of different rope length and load.
