The motion of a Brownian particle in a bistable system is studied. We propose a method of controlling stochastic energetic resonance by adding a period signal to the system. The work done by the input signal is investigated as a quantifier of stochastic energetic resonance. By changing the control signal, the cooperative interplay between input signal, noise and nonlinearity of the system is adjusted effectively. Stochastic energetic resonance can be achieved or enhanced when the amplitude or frequency of the control signal is modified.
