The Direct Solution Method to Determine the Upper-Step’s Minimum Plane Size of Rectangular Extended Foundation under Column that Meeting Punching Shear
  Abstract

After determining the height of rectangular extended foundation that meeting punching shear, if the height is larger, the foundation may be divided into two or three steps. The height and width of each step is divided average generally, I think that this method is not appropriate through analyzing, the minimum plane size of upper step can be get through direct solving, all the size that is greater than the minimum plane size can meet the punching shear requirements of step, a program based on MATLAB is worked out for everyone to use.
