Abstract: This paper mainly introduce the ANSYS LS - DYNA software and the detailed simulation of dynamic compression process on molded pulp product, and simulate the acceleration - time curves with the hammer massing 2Kg, and different drop height. when the results were compared to the physical experimentalism , simulation results and physical are consistent. A new method was given to research on the cushioning performance of molded pulp products.

Abstract: A static compressive model and a dynamic compressive model have been constructed based on Sherwood-Frost’s constitutive model for a corn straw fiber reinforced composite cushioning packaging material. In deriving the models, material density, shape function, strain and strain ratio are considered. The validity of models has been verified by static compressive and dynamic impact testing. The proposed models will provide important theoretic guideline for designing this kind of cushioning material.

Abstract: Bending resistance of single honeycomb paper-core under axial dynamic load has been analyzed to meet the need of honeycomb paperboard produce. First, the models were built after buckling theory analysis. Dynamic characteristics of compressive process were analyzed in the FEA software. It was indicated that: When the height of model was lower than a certain value, the process was divided into four parts: linear elastic phase, elastic-plasticity phase, plasticity collapse phase and densification phase. However, when the height of model was above than the certain value, the model was easy to bend in the intermediate region. Some results such as force and shearing stress had been gotten. At last, the compressive process was verified by experiment, which was bigger value due to air and glue water existed in honeycomb core.

Abstract: To solve the conflict between cost and compressive strength of honeycomb paperboard, dual-core honeycomb paperboard is designed. Based on the processing technology of single-core paperboard, the processing technology of dual-core honeycomb is identified. Using production equipment of Tang Hai Yuan Ming Tangshan, Hebei Province, Ltd. Honeycomb, 110g/m2 and 220g/m2 paper core composed of 20mm thick dual-core honeycomb samples is produced. Through flat compression properties and the finite element method, using two kinds of honeycomb performance of the simulation analysis of experimental data and simulation analysis by the dual data Verify, the level dual-core honeycomb has been a substantial increase in compression performance. Based on dual-core honeycomb paperboard, multi-core paperboard can be designed and produced.

Abstract: This paper presented a novel tape, which was used to open the corrugated cartons more easily and quickly. Structure of the tear tape consisted of backing materials (acrylic fibers), adhesive (acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive) and release paper. Prepared tear tapes with different thickness, analyzed the influence of tear tape thickness on performance of open system and added them to the corrugated board, then tested the opening properties of the corrugated board above. The results indicate that the tape, with 0.18mm in thickness and about 25mm in width, can split high quantitative corrugated board smoothly, the tensile strength for opening is 105N at maximum, which means these tape can satisfy the needs of easy-to-open technique.

Abstract: Two kinds of bank note issued by YanTai XiGongShun, the Republic of China, are collected by Laboratory of Printing History, School of Printing and Packaging Engineering, Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication. The colors on these bank notes are bright and the patterns and signs can be easily recognized. All bank notes are of the elongated shape, and are printed with bank name, par value, circulation area, anti-counterfeiting characters and decorative pictures in the front of the bank notes. The two colors on these bank notes were analyzed using laser Raman microscopy, and the results showed that the red, blue and green pigments are cinnabar, Lapis lazuli, respectively.

Abstract: Lots of unearthed objects and historical documents indicate the paper-making technology which had been invented in Western Han Dynasty moved to Japan through the Korean peninsula. This paper took the development of paper-making technology and how it spread to the major countries of East Asia as a clue to find out evidence of the early transmission of traditional handmade paper from the ancient literature, archaeological materials, research papers, and museum collections. Literature studies, field inspections and the traditional ways of recovery process were the main methods we used. After collecting and studying the materials, we drew the outline of the general picture of traditional handmade paper transmitting in the major countries of East Asia, and made a discussion about the relevant issues on the condition that the traditional handmade paper how to adapt to the geographical variation and the printing technology.

Abstract: Characters play important function in social development. It is not only the carrier of language, but also the basis of informationized society. For Latin alphabet, there are primitive character period, classical character period and alphabetical character period from the primitive characters to alphabetical characters. Every formal change of the character accelerated the speed of information transmission while keeping their historical traces. The writing tools and carriers of different times, as a kind of media, direct the transmission of information and directly influence the typeface of characters and communication of information. The invention of Gutenberg brings major technological innovation, printing oil and paper became new carriers of characters, which were widely promoted worldwide and various Latin alphabetical characters came into being gradually. Font disk share the same form and their reoccurrence greatly promoted the level of identification and the normalization of printing characters came into being. As a result, the readability and legibility of printing characters is superior to that of handwritten characters. So that information can be more clear and accurate delivery and better realization of its functional significance. Printing characters plays more and more important roles as carriers of information with the development of information society and their role in conveying information would arouse more concern and deeper research.
