The Kinetic Parameter Calculations of the Shift Pairs about the Tripod Universal Joint
  Abstract

By choosing some right kinetic coordinates and using the direction cosine matrices as the major mathematics tools, the kinetic problems of the tripod universal joint are resolved successfully. Three kinetic parameters are deduced,which are the center distance between ball rollers, the displacement of ram and acceleration of the ram. They are the design foundation of the tripod universal joint.
