The selection of seal ring material produces an effect on the sealing performance and service life significantly. And the material properties can affect the performance of seal ring directly. The degree of influences of four factors [Ratio, silica, DCP and curing temperature] in the formula on the quality of seal ring were analyzed by using orthogonal test, R/S analysis and other mathematical methods. The experimental results indicate that the amount of reclaimed rubber added into the seal ring has significant effect on the physical and mechanical properties of the blend. Adding a certain amount of r-EPDM can keep the original excellent quality, at the same time it can reduces the pollution of waste rubber and the costs of raw materials.
