Abstract: Cohousing is a type of collaborative housing in which residents actively participate in the design and operation of their own neighborhoods. Low-impact strategy is one of the core features of such communities. In this paper, we will in-depth analysis the sustainable features of the cohousing from the perspective of physical and lifestyle, as well as the empowerment between these sustainability measures.

Abstract: For the purpose of studying the resistance of steel fiber reinforced concrete against the corrosion of different acid, test compressive strength and flexural strength of the steel fiber reinforced concrete of different volume rate after the corrosion of organic and inorganic acid, and express experiment results with the form of comprehensive corrosion coefficient and the flexural corrosion coefficient in order to reflect the corrosion degree. The results shows that, the organic corrosion has a stronger corrosion effect on the steel fiber reinforced concrete than the inorganic acid under the environment of same PH value. When steel fiber volume rate is 1.5%, the corrosion resistance capacity of the steel fiber reinforced concrete is best.

Abstract: Taking Changangtang ancient village in Guangzhou as a case, this paper investigated the village location, the village layout, as well as building structures and building materials regarding their contributions to energy saving. It is found that the location and the surrounding of artificial river system form natural energy-saving environment, the overall layout of “comb pattern” complies to the local predominant wind direction in summer which go further in reducing the energy consumption in building, the courtyard enhances the ventilation and lighting, and the "Black brick with loam brick inside " form of material for wall, materials used for roofs, and dimensions of doors and windows all contribute to energy-saving.

Abstract: The article is aim to consciously bring natural elements and natural processes into landscape design, which have such sound effect of continuously changing features from a traditional garden. There are two main methods of design with natural thinking: one is expansion of the natural elements, including direct and indirect demonstration of the natural elements and abstract refinement of the natural forms; the other is expression of natural dynamic forces, such as site conditions, the forces of nature and ecological significance. The landscape reacting with natural affinity and dynamic helps people to re-perception, experience and care of natural realism and vitality.

Abstract: In this paper some of rheological properties of bamboo charcoal polyester (BC-PET) are presented. The BC-PET is derived from PET modified through commix with bamboo charcoal master batch. The additive content of blends ranged between 0% and 10%. Rheological measurements were effectuated with a Brookfield viscometer (RVDV-II+Pro). The results showed that molten BC-PET exhibited shear thinning fluid, these were verified with some rheological models. Non-Newtonian index decreased significantly and structural viscosity index increased obviously with the master-batch content increased, but the viscosity was stable in the shear rate range of spinning (γ=103-104s-1), so decreased the temperature was beneficial to spinning.

Abstract: Winter heating costs is a large proportion of the economy in the account of farmers in cold regions, which can be solved exactly by rice straw brick house. Because the rice straw brick house has many advantages, such as turning waste into treasure, cleaning up the environment and saving heating costs. In this paper, a rice straw brick house and a common brick house have been theoretically designed with the same size and in the same area. The heating load calculation, construction cost, operating costs and social benefits have been compared between the two. From the comprehensive results, the performance of the rice straw brick house is superior to that of the common red brick house

Abstract: One of the main problems of contemporary industrial heritage environment is how to enhance the cultural vitality and expressiveness. This paper intends to build the connection between cultural theme and industrial heritage environment. Through theoretical analysis on history, culture and perception, and with a specific example “From Old Factory to Red House”, it is clear that cultural themes play an important role in built environment regeneration and design. The results show that cultural theme strategy can be used in the regeneration and integration of old buildings and environment, and it has outstanding significance to maintain the sustainable development of industrial heritage.

Abstract: Taking the rural houses in northwest China as study object, combining with the local conditions of climate and economy, the paper put forward the appropriate schemes of solar energy utilization to meet with ecological building trends, which were experimented in Jianfuqiao village. Also, the indoor objective appropriate temperature is used to analyze the indoor thermal environment of experimental rural houses in winter. Accordingly, the availability and effectiveness of ecological technology utilization in the rural areas has been tested and proved in the northwest China.
