Optimization Design of Large-Diameter Non-Rectangular Sectional Ring Blank for Ring Rolling
  Abstract

Because of the defects of instability and radial shrinking-drawing of outer surface during rolling large-scale non-rectangular sectional ring, based on blank design principles, the method of subsection determining size of blank first, and then find intersection was proposed, which obtained the optimum size rang of large-diameter and non-rectangular sectional ring blank. With specific examples, using the finite element simulation and actual production, the feasibility of the method was verified.
