Paper Title:
Image Registration Based on Mutual Information and Corner Points
  Abstract

A maximization of mutual information based image registration method is described. Firstly Due to the inferiority of image registration using maximum mutual information, the registration based on local curvature maximum to obtain corner points. Secondly, the one to one matching points could be obtained through mutual information rough match. Finally, the search strategy used the improved genetic algorithm to find the optimum value. Experimental results indicate the proposed algorithm can achieve better accuracy and good robust.
