Preparation of Ag/AgCl/TiO2-XCX Plasmonic Photo-Catalyst with Enhanced Visible-Light Photocatalytic Activity
  Abstract

A new visible-light-driven plasmonic photocatalyst Ag/AgCl/TiO2-XCX was prepared by a two-step synthesis process. The bandgap of the synthesized sample was 2.87 eV. In the degradation of methyl orange (MO) solution under the visible light (l>420 nm), the Ag/AgCl/TiO2-X CX shows higher photocatalytic activity than TiO2-X C X . The apparent ratio constant (kapp) value of Ag/AgCl/TiO2-XCX was about 9.7 times that TiO2-XCX.
