Study on Synthesis of Nesquehonite Whiskers
  Abstract

Thermal composition of low temperature water is taken as way in the text, with the MgSO4•7H2O and NH4HCO3 being raw materials to make nesquehonite whiskers, further talking about the concentration of the reactant, reactive temperatures, mixing speed, solution pH and the quantity of additive addition etc. factors impacting whiskers synthetic of magnesium carbonate hydrate by controlling the growth environment. On this foundation ,finally drop MgSO4 solutions by 2.45 mL/min at 50oC by 0.5 mol/L. Join 0.5% KH2PO4 obtain slender perfectly straight, smooth surface and average length-diameter ratio of 34 crystal whiskers, carrying out the control to the crystal whiskers facial look and optimized performance for 247 μm and average diameter for 7.2 μm and on the average long diameter comparing.
