Modal Parameters Identification Accuracy with a Short Time Parametric Algorithm
  Abstract

This paper presents a time-domain identification of modal parameters using least square algorithm. The main advantage of this method is the possibility to identify transient parameters within a short window length from sampled data. This paper focuses on numerical examinations about the influence of the applied window size, sampling rate and the noise content to the identification accuracy. The results show that the proposed method can estimate transient parameters accurately and may be applied to real-time control processes.
