Abstract
The wear resistance of tool materials with multilayered and multicomponent coatings of different chemical composition and the coating technology have been studied at various modes of cutting. Tribological features of various coatings on the cemented carbide tool and the main characteristics of cutting at the interface have been investigated for milling and turning.
