Abstract: The results of X-ray diffraction, complex in-field (up to 9 T) and temperature (5300 К) Mössbauer and magnetometric studies of the ordered Fe65Al35-хMх (M=Ga, B; x=0,5,10) and Fe65-хVxAl35 (x=5,10) alloys are presented. Analysis of the magnetometry studies shows that the systems Fe65Al35 и Fe65Al35-хGaх (x=5, 10) are characterized by two different magnetic states with essentially distinguishing hysteresis loops and AC susceptibility values. The temperature and external magnetic field values inducing the transition from one magnetic state to another are higher in the Ga-doped alloys than in the reference Fe65Al35 alloy. The boron addition transforms the magnetic state of the initial alloy Fe65Al35 into a ferromagnetic one exhibiting high magnetic characteristics. Substitution of V for Fe in the ternary alloys Fe65-хVxAl35 results in reduction of magnetic characteristics and collapsing of 57Fe hyperfine magnetic filed.

Abstract: Structure and magnetic properties of non-stoichiometric rare earth intermetallic compounds TbNi2Mnx and DyNi2Mnx x have been studied. It was found that for the compositions with x ≤ 1 the alloys retain the single-phase cubic structure despite the fact that the rare earth-to-3d metal ratio changes from 1:2 to 1:3. Magnetic measurements revealed that the Mn alloying leads to a substantial growth of the Curie temperature with a maximum at x ~ 0.5. At low temperatures the magnetization reversal of the Mn-containing samples is characterized by a considerable hysteresis caused by pinning of narrow domain walls by the structure defects. The observed experimental data are discussed within the assumption on a local distortion of the crystal electric field and the formation of a non-collinear magnetic structure of the rare earth sublattice.

Abstract: Magnetic properties of Ni3Al1-yMny alloys at y≤0.6 were investigated at T≤400 K in magnetic fields H≤4 MA/m. The concentration y dependencies of the spontaneous magnetic moment s, the effective magnetic moment eff, the Curie temperature ТС, the Weiss constant , and the temperature independent part of the magnetic susceptibility 0 were determined. The behavior of the Rhodes-Wohlfarth parameter р(y) in the transition region from the itinerant electron magnetism to the spin localized one is related to the increase in the spontaneous magnetic moment of Ni atoms inversely proportional to the average distance between Mn atoms with the highly localized magnetic moments.

Abstract: Spin-reorientation transitions in intermetallic (Pr1-xSmx)Fe8Ga3C compounds with the tetragonal BaCd11-type structure have been investigated. The magnetic phase diagram has been proposed for these compounds based on magnetic and X-Ray diffraction studies using their nanocrystalline ribbons and powders aligned in a magnetic field. In the concentration range 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.4 the compounds exhibit an «easy-plane» anisotropy at all temperatures of the magnetically ordered state. The magnetic anisotropy of the compounds with 0.5 ≤ x ≤ 1 is of the «easy-cone» type. The SmFe8Ga3C compound with the highest Sm content is a uniaxial ferromagnet with no indications of a spin-reorientation transition below its Curie temperature.
