Abstract: Based directly on the neural network weights from testing and evaluating the coatings on real vehicle equipment, by inputting the values of the EIS characteristic parameter received from the real vehicle testing, memorizing the neural network weights under guideless training, it provides a quick and convenient method to evaluate the protective performance of vehicle equipment coatings, and thus the quick testing of the corrosion severity of vehicle equipment can be achieved.

Abstract: By adopting coating damage simulation research method with open circuit potential and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, the influence of different damage levels of green organic composite coating to its protective performance has been studied. The research found that the variation of open circuit potential partly reflected the damage level of the coating. When K is less than or equal to 0.04, the coating still has favorable protective performance, while K is higher than 16, the protective performance of the coating is basically unavailable, but when K falls in between, the protective performance of the coating is fair good.

Abstract: By adopting coating damage simulation method with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, the influence of different damage degree K of grey chassis organic coating to its protective performance has been studied. The research found that electrochemical impedance spectroscopy could reflect the damage degree K of the coating. When K is less than or equal to 0.11, the coating still has prefect protective performance, when K is higher than or equal to 2.78, the protective performance of the coating is very low, and when K falls in between, the protective performance of the coating is just favorable; There exist a linear relationship between log (|Z|0.1Hz) and log K, which may provide a theoretical basis to evaluate the protective performance of such kind of coatings.

Abstract: Bending fatigue is one of the main failure modes of gears. The method of gear fatigue design was discussed in many papers. Most of them are based on GB/T3480-83.But study shows that the method current widely used only fits for the single side loaded gear. For double sides loaded gear, only a mean stress modification coefficient is concerned compared to single side loaded gear. A new formula based on fatigue theory is given to modify the mean stress in consideration of the load character of doubled sides loaded gear. The method given in the paper is an addition to the traditional gear design method.

Abstract: One of the biggest problems to predict the bending fatigue life of gear is lack of S-N data from the standard gear specimen. It is expensive and long time to spend to do the specimen tests. The bending fatigue property data from database is not enough to fulfill the engineering needs. To solve the problem, multiaxial methods are used to predict the bending fatigue life of gears and FEA method is used to analyze the stress of gear teeth root. Result shows that McDiarmid model, Findley model and Maximum shear stress model fulfill the engineering needs and McDiarmid method is the most accurate.
