Abstract: The simplified model of biochar-bearing iron ore with binder was studied. It was considered a mixture of two types of core-shell particles, ‘iron ore – binder’ particles and ‘biochar – binder’ particles. The expressions to calculate complex effective permittivity and permeability was derived by effective medium approximation (EMA). The corresponding dependencies on volume fraction of iron ore in the mixture are provided.

Abstract: The training of material engineering talents aims to meet the social development needs and cultivate comprehensive talents who have strong creative ability and practical ability, while integrated teaching mode is the best way to improve their comprehensive ability. Combining with the present development of production, teaching and research integration of our country, this thesis will discuss specific measures in training of material engineering talents from view of innovative and practical talents training and provide application prospect of integrative operation.

Abstract: The electrochemical workstation has important role in the electrochemical research. In this paper, the Parstat 2273 workstation was introduced and the main applications in electrochemistry were explained. The Tafel extrapolation was introduced as example to illustrate how to test the corrosion velocity by electrochemical workstation, and the EIS was used to analysis corrosion resistance of different materials. In the actual researching process, Parstat 2273 workstation should develop its further application more effectively.

Abstract: Green compact containing Yellow River sand and several additives was prepared by slip casting and the as-made compact was used to synthesize SiAlON multiphase ceramics by carbothermal reduction nitridation. The processing parameters of slip casting including the type and concentration of dispersant, solid loading, ball milling time, pH value and particle size distribution were optimized by orthogonal experiments. The results indicated that the raw materials could disperse uniformly in the suspension under the use of the mixed dispersant of skip liquid (SL, PT) and sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). The green body with high bulk density of 1.86 g·cm-3 was obtained. After sintered in flowing N2, the compact could transform to SiAlON multiphase ceramics.
