Abstract: In modular design of product, seeking the optimal matching module and realize the optimal combination of product configuration is very important. This paper analyzes the module selection strategy in modular design of CNC machine tool, give the module selection algorithm. Relevant theory of fuzzy similarity optimal ratio is introduced on the search for the optimal matching module, and module selection system is developed by MATLAB. Finally, through an example, prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and convenience of module selection system.

Abstract: The main heat source of the spindle system of CNC machine tool has been analyzed. The friction heat of the motor as well as the bearing has been calculated. This paper established the finite element model of the spindle system of a precise CNC turning center, and used ANSYS to analyze the steady temperature field of the spindle system and the thermal deformation of the spindle. Finally, this paper proposed a solution to install a cooling sleeve in front of the spindle box, which can apparently reduce the thermal error of machine spindle.

Abstract: Modular division is the first step of modular design, which also is the premise and basis of modular design. Whether modular division is reasonable can directly affect the systemic function performance and the cost of modular products. This paper introduces a new sort of modular division method, which divides the modules by calculating the correlations among sub-functions. At last, taking the high-speed CNC turning center as example, which is made by Shenyang Machine Tool Group, this paper proved the effectiveness and feasibility of the method.

Abstract: As the development of industry wireless networks, sensor network, innovative sensors, radio frequency identification (RFID), and micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) technologies, the industry sector has made great progress in data acquisition, treatment, transfer and analysis, greatly expanded people’s ability to access information, and to control and use them. This paper developed a wireless data acquisition and storage system of CNC machine tools based on LabVIEW graphical programming language and IEEE 802.11 wireless communication protocol, effectively expanded the ability to access and use the CNC machine status information; solved the problem of data collection caused by the environment complexity of manufacture workshop and the hardness of wiring; eliminated the dead zone of manufacture workshop in the processing of the data acquisition of state information of bottom processing equipment; made the bottom machining unit no longer be the information island for manufacturing enterprises.

Abstract: The structure and applications of multi-sensor information fusion technology are introduced systematically in this paper. Main fusion algorithms are summarized. The fusion applications are pointed out in machine-tool monitoring. The structure and information process of monitor system are discussed in the machine-tool monitoring.
