Abstract: As a response to the National Army’s planning of all-volunteer military system and maintaining of their combat capability for national defense, the military logistics model choice is one of very important issues. In this paper, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is conducted for selecting an optimal transportation model in the Navy logistics between Taiwan Island and Kinmen Island.

Abstract: In a manufacture system, the inventory control is one of important issues. This paper proposes a fuzzy economic order quantity (EOQ) inventory model for solving the inventory control problem in the manufacture system. Firstly, this paper discusses the square roots of a trapezoidal fuzzy number. Secondly, the square root of fuzzy number is applied to the EOQ inventory model in the manufacture system.

Abstract: Inventory management is one of important issues in the manufacture system. Thus, this paper proposes a new fuzzy approach to solve the inventory management problems in the manufacture system. In the past, few papers discussed the square roots of fuzzy number. The square roots of fuzzy number can be applied to solve the optimal inventory quantity problems in the fuzzy manufacture system. This paper first proposed the square roots of fuzzy number. Finally, the square roots of fuzzy number are applied to obtain the optimal order quantity for the fuzzy backorder inventory model in the manufacture system.

Abstract: The service quality of transshipment logistics of container port is an important issue in the international trade container transportation industry. The aim of this paper is to construct a SERVQUAL method to evaluate the service quality of transshipment logistics of container port. This assessment model is tested by a case of the port of Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The results show that the assessment model proposed in this paper seems to be promising. Finally, some interesting conclusions and useful suggestions are given to Kaohsiung port to improve the service quality.
