Abstract: The tubular conveyor belt is a main part of the conveyor belt industry. The lateral stiffness value is an important parameter measuring the performance of the tubular conveyor belt. Therefore, the lateral stiffness value is an important factor to test the quality of the tubular conveyor belt. Because of the complexity in measuring the tubular conveyor belt, at present, there is no unified method to measure the lateral stiffness of a tubular belt and no unified national standard for the stiffness value, which is the criterion that domestic enterprises lack to guide their production. The paper conducts the research on testing mechanism and testing methods of stiffness value, further demonstrates them by experiments, and solves the problem of poor reproducibility and large error of the stiffness value.

Abstract: With the same recipe and technological conditions, experimental research on fill factor about rubber compound of all-steel radial tire was conducted in four types of X(S)M-1.7L mixers: intermeshing rotor mixer, variable intermeshing clearance mixer, shearing rotor mixer and variable shearing clearance mixer. Based on the summary and analysis of experiments, the authors discussed the influence of fill factor on performance of internal mixers and physical and mechanical properties of the rubber compound. And the optimal values of fill factor of different types mixer were determined.

Abstract: This paper uses a new twin-screw extruder for regeneration of waste tire crumb rubber, discusses the influence of screw speed and reaction temperature on the physical and mechanical properties of reclaimed rubber. Experimental results show that different screw speed and reaction temperature has a great impact on the physical and mechanical properties of the reclaimed rubber. When controls screw speed in the 60 ~ 90 r / min, reaction temperature at 170 to 210°C,the regeneration effect is the best. At this time, the physical and mechanical properties of reclaimed rubber, such as tensile strength, tear strength and elongation at break rate, is the best.

Abstract: According to the relevant national standards, this paper produced Corecell ™ G foam sandwich structure and Nomex honeycomb sandwich structure composite materials specimens. These two materials were carried out tensile, compression, bending and shear experiment. Analyzing and comparing the pros and cons of the two materials in the mechanical properties of tensile strength, compressive strength, shear strength, flexural strength.

Abstract: This article is based on cooling water temperature, mixing time and rotor speed of downstream mixer to study effects of different process parameters on rubber mixing in tandem internal mixer. The experimental results show that the cooling water temperature has an important significance to improve the mixing quality, and the best cooling water temperature is about 30°C. Mixing time must be strictly controlled and the best range of mixing time is about 80 ~ 90s. Rotor speed has an significant effect on the physical properties of rubber, and the best rotor speed is about 30r/min. There is an optimal fill factor, and the best fill factor is 0.35.

Abstract: The three-dimensional flow fields produced by the modular dual-rotor of rubber continuous plasticator were numerically simulated and analyzed by using ADINA, the FEM simulation software. So the velocity field distribution of each rotor element was shown by the simulations. Through the analysis, the double rotors rotated inward had high efficiency of pumping and plasticization. The rubber compound was subjected to the strong shearing action; squeezing action and stretch effect in the rubber plasticate process. The simulation calculation had great significance for the rotor optimizing design.

Abstract: One-stage mixing refers to put rubber and additions into the mixing room and make a cycle mixing process. Two-stage mixing refers to make another cycle mixing process to the compound which producted by the one-stage mixing process after parking a certain time.In this paper, traditional internal mixer’s two-stage mixing experiments under different parking time were studied and the experimental results were that the best parking time was 8 hours.

Abstract: This article by groups of comparison, analyzes the impact of he content, the mesh size and the kinds of Rubber Powder to Modified asphalt properties. Experiments concluded that, the content of rubber powder has the most impact to rubber powder modifying asphalt properties, and when the content in 10%~20% has a optimal value; the mesh size is not the thinner the better; ordinary rubber powder has a high performance-price ratio.

Abstract: Two rotor configurations were designed for the continuous plasticator in this paper. The rotor configuration, rotor speed and machine barrel temperature were set as the variable parameters in this contrast experiment. What’s more, the experimental investigation showed that, the three factors had effects on the plastication performance. When the temperature of machine barrels and extrusion dies reached and the rotor speed was at , the plastication performance of two rotor configurations was relatively better. And the rotor configuration II was better than I by synthesizing all kinds of factors.
