Abstract: Non-uniform motion mechanisms (NUMM) utilized in a Twin-rotor piston engine (TRPE) are introduced. TRPE mechanism consists of two major components. One is energy conversion system (ECS), and the other is differential velocity drive mechanism (DVDM). DVDM is composed of NUMMs and ordinary gear train in this paper. NUMMs generate two non-uniform rotations with same pattern and different pace. Gear train duplicates the two rotations and causes the two rotors rotating with periodical oscillation.

Abstract: The contact characteristics of spherical gear and ring-rack are researched in this paper. First, the tooth profile surface equation of spherical gear is established on the basis of the transmission theory of spherical gears. After that, the profile surface equation of ring-rack is established. Then, kinematics of the transmission of spherical gear and ring-rack is researched, the appreciate coordinates are established, and the profile surfaces of spherical gear and ring-rack are described in the same coordinate. Then, the contact analysis is conducted between spherical gear and ring-rack, and the contact point and ellipse parameters are acquired, as well as the rules of their evolvements. The conclusions above are benefit to further research on the transmission of spherical gear and ring-rack.

Abstract: In the current pin clamping device of bottle blowing machines, the design datum can’t coincide with mold datum. So it not only needs a pressure compensation device, but requires clamping holes to meet high precision. It makes the clamping device manufacturing and maintenance cost high. On the other hand, the producing plastic bottles have obvious mold lines. It affects products quality. For the above shortcomings, this paper designs a wedge clamping device, and then analyzes the kinematics modeling of planar moving cam mechanism and plane linkage mechanism. The results show that the device has smooth operation and small impact. So the new wedge device can meet the job requirements of high-speed rotary bottle blowing machines.
