Abstract: Using UG/Open Grip technique, the 3D parameter design of the splicing chamber was achieved by a computer program and the parameters could be modified through the interactive operation. This work strengthens the interactive design function of the CAD system and has an important significance for improving the design quality of the splicing chamber.

Abstract: The larger variation of the construction and performance of the low-carbon steel joints was caused by the high temperature of the puddle welding of the joint. Therefore, the braze welding rather than the puddle welding was applied to the welding production of low-carbon steel. The 08 steel parts were joined in a furnace using pure copper solder paste as brazing filler metal. According to the obtained results, the ideal technical parameters are as follow: brazing temperature: 1100-1150°C; holding time: 5-10min; joint clearance: 0.03-0.05mm.

Abstract: Based on the analyses of the yarn tension and the mathematical model of the magnetic powder brake, the digital simulation of the yarn tension fuzzy control system was performed by using MATLAB Simulink. The relationship between the structure parameters and the system dynamic performance was then obtained, and the system scheme was justified.

Abstract: Due to the technical factors such as analytical design and virtual prototyping, the simple but representative sliding bar was chosen in this paper and its mathematical model of working contour was established by using the analytic method. And then, the parameterized model and VRML file structural drawing of sliding bar were given by using double extrusion method. It was proved that the components of the tripod universal joint were formed easily by using the double extrusion method based on Extrusion nodes. In addition, the tripod universal joint assembly model was also accomplished by using Inline nodes and bottom-up assembling method.

Abstract: Based on the working principle and working process of the tire building machine, the spindle model of the tire building machine was established by analyzing the load of the spindle. Utilizing COSMOS to do the FEM analysis, the structural optimization was carried out. The deflection of the spindle determining the precision of the tire should be minimized. Meanwhile, in order to reduce the cost of the spindle, the volume of the spindle should be minimized. In this paper, the weighted coefficient method was applied to solving this multi-objective optimization problem. As no ready-made formula was found for the deflection of the spindle, the following method was adopted. Firstly, the calculation in COSMOS with different values was conducted, and then the curve fitting was finished in MATLAB to get the formula between defection and diameter of bore, and finally the optimization of the volume and defection was achieved.

Abstract: The pressure function method being different from traditional (experienced) design method. Natural balance outline design method is a tyre structure design method. Based on mathematics and mechanics reasonings, the structure and shape of the tyre were controlled by pressure function and then the structure design was further achieved. The mathematic-physical equations of the pressure function method were established. According to numerical calculation, the reasonable structure of tyre and the prediction of tyre-inflated shape could be accomplished. The pressure function method can reduce the cost and improve the design efficiency.

Abstract: Based on the analysis of the compressed airflow within air splicer, the simulation of the splicing cavity was performed by using FLUENT and the air fluid field distributions of the aqueduct bodies with various shapes were obtained. The influence of the splicing cavity shape on yarn splicing quality was then analyzed and the satisfying splicing cavity shape was determined.

Abstract: The effects of the lubricant properties on the lubricating performance of the tripod sliding universal joint were studied under thermal condition by numerical method. The obtained results show that increasing lubricant viscosity increases the film thickness whereas increasing viscosity-pressure coefficient or viscosity-temperature coefficient is just the reverse. The pressure hardly depends on the viscosity-pressure coefficient or viscosity-temperature coefficient, and a larger lubricant viscosity induces only a remarkable second pressure peak. Increasing lubricant viscosity or viscosity-pressure coefficient increases the temperature whereas the increasing viscosity-temperature coefficient reduces it.
