Abstract: Filling factor and polyester short fiber addition impact the mixing process and performances of mixed rubber greatly. The effects of filling factor and polyester short fiber addition on mixing short fiber-rubber composite material have been studied by experimental study. And according to the experimental results, at the condition of filling factor was 0.6 and polyester short fiber addition was 3, the performances of mixed rubber were best.

Abstract: Rotor speed is one of the most important technical characteristics of the internal mixer. The effects of rotor speed on mixing process have been studied. In the experiments, three types of synchronous rotors which were two-wing synchronous rotor, four-wing synchronous rotor and six-wing synchronous rotor were used. The experimental results indicated that there was a proper speed of different rotor structure for mixing process. And along with the increase of rotor speed, the maximum power, the unit consumption of energy and discharging temperature increase, while the physical and mechanical properties of mixed rubber got a better value.

Abstract: Vulcanization process is the last step of manufacturing rubber products. For tire tread which is made of short fiber rubber composite material, vulcanization is complex due to during vulcanization process the flow of mixed rubber maybe change short fibers orientation. As a result, during vulcanization process, several pieces of iron wire have been put in the mold to play the role of tire patterns for the first step research. The experimental results indicate that the flow of mixed rubber would not change short fibers orientation greatly, and physical and mechanical properties of short fiber-rubber composite material keep as good as that vulcanized without iron wire.

Abstract: Digitization of carton’s dispersion is important for rubber researching. In statistics, kurtosis and skewness can been used to evaluate the dispersion, control chart can been used to decrease the influence of abnormal factors. The application of computer technology can finish calculating and showing of statistical data quickly and exactly. Digitization of distribution supplies more ways to research the relation between carton’s dispersion and rubber’s property.

Abstract: During the extruding process of short fiber-rubber composite material, screw speed is an important factor which influences the orientation of short fibers, as well as the physical and mechanical properties of short fiber-rubber composite material. The effects of different screw speeds on physical and mechanical properties of short fiber-rubber composite material have been studied by experimental study. In the experiments, the screw speeds were 10rpm, 15rpm, 20rpm, 25rpm and 30rpm respectively. The experimental results indicated that when the screw speed was 15rpm, the physical and mechanical properties of short fiber-rubber composite material are better.

Abstract: Rotor Speed is an important factor which impacts the mixing process and quality of mixed rubber greatly. The effects of different rotor speeds on manufacturing process of short fiber-rubber composite material have been studied by experimental study. In the experiments, the rotor speeds were 50rpm, 60rpm, 70rpm and 80rpm respectively. The experimental results indicated that the mixed rubber after vulcanized had better physical and mechanical properties as the rotor speed was 70rpm. So the rotor speed that is 70rpm has been chosen for manufacturing short fiber-rubber composite material.

Abstract: The study was based on researching various parameter of vulcanization shaping process for effect of radial force variation (RFV).The experimental results showed that reducing the first and second shaping pressure, and increasing hole diameter of N2 on curing bladder, and extending times of discharged N2 in shaping process, and reducing pressure of expanded bladder at the moment of closing mold, could reduce RFV of TBR tire and improve uniformity of tire and provide base data of product process.

Abstract: The flow field analyzed method about mixer flow in chamber has been introduced, Synchronous rotor three dimension flow field simulation rubber with the Finite Element Analysis is reported. The physical and three dimension Finite Element Method models for synchronous rotors flow field has been built for the first time. Isothermal flow field simulation with synchronous rotor has been made, the pressure field, velocity field and viscosity field had been obtained from numerical simulation. The results showed flow field’s change rule in a circle clearly, which are useful to improve mixer rotor’s structure.

Abstract: A new type of six-wing synchronous rotor has been designed and manufactured for mixing requirements of the short fiber-rubber composite material. During the manufacturing process of the composite material, different addition proportions of the short fibers have been used. The physical and mechanical performances of the short fiber-rubber composite material have been investigated. The new type rotor meets the mixing requirements of the short fiber-rubber composite material, with the best addition proportion of the short fibers.

Abstract: The structure of rotors is an important factor, which impacts the quality of the mixed rubber. For the short fiber-rubber composite material, the structure of the rotors is most important. Through the experiments study, the mixing performances of four-wing synchronous rotor, six-wing synchronous rotor and new type of six-wing synchronous varying clearance rotor have been studied. The experimental results indicated that the mixing performance of the new type rotor is much better than the four-wing and six-wing synchronous rotor for the mixing of short fiber-rubber composite materials.
