Abstract: Steel concentrically-braced frames (CBFs) as a lateral force resisting system are widely used in moderate seismic regions. The collapse capacity of CBF is uncertain in prior study so that an appropriate analysis method is hard to hunt. Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) is an efficient method to evaluate the dynamic instability of structure. The IDA is incorporated in evaluation of collapse capacity of CBFs systems and IDA-based collapse ductility spectra of CBFs are concluded in this study. Variable periods range of CBFs systems considering reserve capacity are determined based on the IDA.

Abstract: Force analogy method is a kind of nonlinear dynamic analysis method. Analyzing inelastic structural behavior by using plastic hinge theory, it is widely appropriate to many structures with different material properties and very time efficient and numerically accurate without complicated iterative computations in traditional algorithm. Compared with the traditional finite-element analysis method, dynamic response analysis based on force analogy method has obvious advantages. The application of force analogy method to a steel structure is presented and the analysis result shows that the method algorithm can represent each response state of the structure in real-time and has the very good accuracy and practical.

Abstract: A lot of problems is conversed to their corresponding research area and studied. In this paper, electrical experiment method is presented for solving a single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) dynamic system subjected sinusoidal loading. The equivalent electrical circuit corresponding to the SDOF dynamic system is designed and practical electrical circuit is completed. Research results shows that the electrical circuit analogy method (ECAM) is an effective and practical method on solving structural dynamic problems. The electrical experiment results agree well with the numerical simulation results.
