Abstract: The first component of the Polyurethane adhesive was prepared with polyester polyol, polyether polyol ,castor oil and isophorone diisocyanate. And this component was mixed with the castor oil and its modified production to prepare a two-component solvent-free aliphatic polyurethane laminating adhesive. In this study, the influences of the copolymerization ratio of polyester/ether on viscosity, heat resistance, adhesion strength and boiling resistance were studied, as well as influences of castor oil and its modified production on curing speed and adhesion strength. The results showed that when proportion of polyether diol was 25% and castor oil was 50% of the total hydroxyl content of first component, the PU adhesive with lower viscosity, better reactivity and enhanced boiling resistance would be achieved. And with an appropriate amount of derivatives castor oil in second component, the curing speed and adhesion strength of the PU adhesive were significantly improved.

Abstract: Line quality micro-measurement is of important content of objective measurement, contributing to reproduction quality assessment of digital printed character and line metrics. Transforming physical presswork to digital image is not only the first but also a key procedure in micro quality measurement. In this study, effect of input resolution was verified in order to determine the precision requirement in micro quality survey. A series of experiments were carried out to measure same inkjet samples, which were scanned with a normal flatbed in three resolution sets. The effect on assessment accuracy of resolution condition was analyzed by pair-wise comparison method. Results show that normal flatbed is precise enough for micro line quality measurement. But 600DPI identified in ISO13660 standard is too low to serve in this survey. 1200DPI can work well enough and extra-high resolution version will not respond to improve the measurement precision obviously in inkjet line attribute evaluation.

Abstract: Sterile anti-shedding UV ink used on PE bottle cap was developed. The ink can be soaked in peracetic Acid solution with the concentration at 1800ppm for four hours’ sterilization under the constant temperature 90 °C, and there was no deinking phenomenon. The ink was prepared by mixed experimental method. The influence of prepolymer, monomer and photoinitiator on the UV ink properties such as curing speed, adhesion and solvent resistance were discussed. The optimum formulation of this sterile ink was as follow: PEA is 22.5%, PUA is 22.5%, TMPTA is 13.5%, DPGDA is 13.5%, 907 is 3%, ITX is 3%, carbon soot is 18%, defoamer is 4%. Under this condition, the properties of UV curing ink were as follow: curing time 10s, adhesion level 3 and good solvent resistance. The ink was an environmental ink used on plastic bottle cap.

Abstract: In this paper, a kind of water-soluble acrylic emulsion with methyl methacrylate (MMA) and butyl acrylate (BA) as hard and soft monomer respectively, acrylic acid (AA) and hydroxypropyl methacrylate as functional monomers, ammonium persulfate (APS) and ammonia as initiator and neutralizer respectively, was prepared by emulsion polymerization. The resulting emulsion possesses high solid content, low viscosity, high stability and film-forming properties, indicating that it would be applicable to water-based ink. The effect of the ratio of MMA to BA on the film-forming properties of resin and the influence of AA and HPA on the water-soluble property and viscosity of resin were investigated, and the relationship of reaction temperature and the emulsion stability was also studied. This paper can provides a certain reference to synthesis of acrylic resin and application of acrylic resin to the water-based ink.

Abstract: The properties of iCAM appearance model including the viewing conditions calculation, chroma adaptation transformation, IPT properties computation and perception correlation calculation was studied according to the researches studied in the paper. iCAM color appearance model was proposed as the PCS in this paper and the effects on printing image reproduction and evaluation were studied. The conclusions showed that setting iCAM as the PCS had an important role in improving color conversion accuracy and the high fidelity reproduction quality of printing image.

Abstract: The impact of coated paper printability for image quality on the high-fidelity digital printing was studied in this paper. Compared with the traditional printing technology, high-fidelity digital printing technology is more likely to expand the color gamut, maintain the original tone linear and produce vivid image. The performance of coated paper to a large extent determines the image quality. In order to get high-quality printed matters, the mechanism of the coated paper printability influencing on the performance on high-fidelity digital printing is need to be researched in-depth. The printability of coated paper was studied from several aspects in this paper, including the structural properties, roughness, optical properties, absorption etc, the relationships between these properties and printing color, dot reproduction performance were also studied. Based on the previous theoretical and practical studies, the printability evaluation system of coated paper on high-fidelity digital printing was established initially. On digital printing, accurate color management technology also affects the printing quality as the performance of coated paper, so the advanced color management technology was also used in the current study. The results showed that the pore structure and the absorbent of coated paper were the most important factors for affecting the printing quality, and the roughness and optical properties of coated paper also had a certain impact.

Abstract: Ink jet printing, as the key point of digital printing development, has already got some progress as technical be concerned, and also it has been used in industrial producing. But until now, ink jet printing still has some problems to be solved, include satellite droplet, droplet dimension, and spreading of droplet on substrate and so on. These problems involving parameters include dimension and geometry of the print-head, quality and characteristics of the control signal, surface tension of the ink, viscosity of the ink, characteristics of the substrate surface and so on. In this paper we just analysis the influence of ink surface tension to the process from jet to formation of the droplet by establishing mathematical model, but keep other parameters unchanged. At last, we get the relationship between ink surface tension and droplet parameters, so that it can be used as theoretical basement for print-head design and researching of ink.

Abstract: As one of the intelligent materials, Magnetorheological Fluid is dispersions composed of soft magnetic particles, carrier liquid and additives. The apparent yield strength of Magnetorheological Fluid can be changed significantly within milliseconds by the application of an external magnetic field. As the key elements of the three-dimensional imaging, the three-dimensional grating is a special material composed of cylindrical lens. Because water-based magnetorheological fluid has a unique magnetorheological effect, good rheological properties and environment-friendly performance, it is applied to the production of three-dimensional printing grating, through the change of the magnetorheological fluid to control the exact distribution of the soft magnetic particles, so as to achieve the desired accuracy, light transmittance and stability of printing raster, and finally present a ideal three-dimensional effect after laminating the grating and three-dimensional images.

Abstract: Gray balance is the basic and critical control parameters of color reproduction, which plays important rule as lever in color reproduction which balance the correlation of material characters and process control parameters. This paper focused on investigation about gray balance data variation caused by slight chromaticity deviation of printing material. In the experiment the creation procedure of gray balance curve was simulated by EPSON Stylus Pro7880c ink-jet printer, and delivered curves were compared with each other. Accordingly the tone value variation of primary color was analyzed in terms of chromaticity deviation of paper. Meanwhile the variation tendency of gray balance impacted by ink and paper property was qualitatively discussed according to data comparison with G7 method. Results show that tone value of Y is so sensitive to paper chromaticity deviation that even the dominant relation between Y and M tone will be altered. At the same time, the more the ink and paper property coincide with ISO standard, the more curve of gray balance curve coincide with theoretically ideal value.
