Abstract: Clay brick generated from construction project sites is usually delivered to landfills for disposal and thus they can damage environment. The use of crushed clay brick can solve the environmental problem. This paper presents the possible use of crushed clay brick as a construction material. This new material gathered from some construction project sites in Iran is used as 100% aggregate in the production of concrete. The results indicated that the crushed clay brick reduced the unit weight and compressive strength of concrete, and increase the water absorption value. This new concrete can be used in non-structural products.

Abstract: Safety is very important aspects of construction projects which are the most hazardous endeavors have many work-related injuries and accidents. Accordingly, safety factors must be considered in project lifecycle from beginning of a project to its end. To improve project safety, the definition of safety factors and determination of their importance are necessary. In some of the previous researches several safety factors are introduced. In this paper, safety factors in construction project are reviewed and categorized as well as an exhaustive classified catalogue of critical safety factors in construction project which don't have unnecessary details is developed. The identification of the critical safety factors which are categorized in four main groups consists of safety approach, safety engineering, safety management and safety on construction site will enable appropriate allocation of limited resources.

Abstract: Nanotechnology is a science concerned with the design, construction and utilization of functional structures with at least one characteristic dimension measured in nanometres. Nanotechnology initially developed in the fields of physics and chemistry, and most fundamental developments still occur in these fields. Nanotechnology also needs to be applied in areas such as the engineering field. Obviously, the application of nanotechnology to science and engineering has increased in other fields over the years. One area which is one of the most active research areas in the field of nanotechnology is civil engineering. This paper presents a broad overview of the application of nanotechnology in the civil engineering.
