Abstract: Cable pendulum bars need to withstand not only the gravity of ripe plug and cable but also the impact load of the shedding of ripe plug. In this paper, the cable pendulum bar was modeled and analyzed using finite element analysis by UG NX4, and stiffness strength check was carried out on cable pendulum bar. On this basis, the impact load were calculated and analyzed. The shearing stress of forced off cylinder’s block, strength of steel wire rope and the force of cable pendulum bar’s locking mechanism were checked with the shock loads, and the basic theory to design and development cable pendulum bar were provided.

Abstract: The base of Parallel loading device withstand the pressure of hundreds of tons, Limited by the conditions of use, All components of the device must be manual handling, so Its weight becomes very sensitive. The initial design weight of base are about 170 kg, By handling environmental constraints, four men lift is also very convenient, Therefore it's urgent to reduce weight. In this paper, a powerful modeling capabilities of UG combined ANSYS topology optimization module on the base for a topology optimization, We refer to the shape of topology optimization design of the final design of the structure. Through finite element analysis, the structural stiffness and strength to meet the design requirements, And weight decreased from about 170 kg to 120 kg, reduced by nearly 30%.

Abstract: In the mechanical design process for continuous overload high dynamic flight simulator, a large centrifugal force will be generated, if the arm is very heavy, the motor driving force and energy consumption will be high, so the design objective is minimization of the volume meeting the strength of selected material, this paper established the admissible design domain according to the initial model with the UG. The design variables are the volumetric densities of material in the admissible design domain for the structure. it's very small compared with centrifugal force for gravity, so the influence of gravity is negligible, with the Saint-Venant's principle to simplify constraints. Importing the model into hyperworks software, meshing with hypermesh module, Designing with topology optimization of optistruct module, got the best structure of a flight simulator's arm, and finally designed the actual structure of the arm based on the best structure. Conclusion: topology optimization of the arm flight simulator with hyperworks can reduce design cycle, and reduce weight, resulting in better dynamics.
