Abstract: Human sitting posture and dynamic behavior at work are analyzed systematically by using the principle and method of ergonomics. And from the scales and functionality limited by both aspects, put forward new design ideas of office chair which are fit to modern office work so as to provide reference to design practice.

Abstract: Appling the design principles and methods of Ergonomics into the modern office furniture design, analysis of the design elements of the modern office furniture in Ergonomics, for the concept of ensuring that human health, safe, comfortable and efficient, provided scientific and rational design method of Ergonomics for the modern office furniture design.

Abstract: The relationship between modern furniture color image and eye tracking has been of interest to academics and practitioners for many years. We propose and develop a new view and method exploring these connections, utilizing data from a survey of 31 testees’ eye tracking observed value. Using Tobii X120 eye tracker to analyze eye movement to furniture samples in different hue and tones colors, we highlight the relative importance of the effect of furniture color on human vision system and show that the connections between furniture color features with color image.

Abstract: Through the analysis of the formation, evolution and extension of the concept of new Chinese furniture, the new Chinese furniture, put forward the basic concept and idea of the innovative design of new Chinese furniture, focused on specific method for the function extension, technological innovation and form reconstruction, and provides theoretical guidance for the design practice.

Abstract: Based on the analysis of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, this study explored the method of product design which takes five levels of human needs as a starting point. By combining with the dual attributes of modern Chinese furniture on industrial product and cultural product, this research proposed a design model of modern Chinese furniture based on hierarchy of needs, which can provide with cross-references to design practice.

Abstract: With times of ecological civilization coming, Green design is becoming a new horizon of modern furniture innovation and development. This study explored the strategies, methods and procedure of modern furniture green design, and described the framework of implementation. The procedure model of modern furniture green design were also analyzed and built.
