Abstract: Several rotating rates and welding speeds were chosen to joint 6063/3A21 dissimilar aluminum alloys, tensile strength of the welds were measured to analyze effect of welding parameters on weld performance. Results show that tensile strength of the weld is better than the base material. Weld tensile strength will decrease under a too high or too low welding speed while effect of rotating rate on weld strength is relatively small. The weakest position is at heat affected zone at 3A21 side after T6 post weld heat treatment.

Abstract: Temperature distribution is the foundation to study friction stir welding technique, influence of welding parameters on temperature was studied through experiment measurement on AA2024-T4 aluminum alloy plates. An instantaneous relative linear velocity based heat source was utilized to build the FEM model of friction stir welding process, good agreement was observed between the measured and simulated thermal profiles. FEM model was also utilized to study effect of welding parameters on temperature distribution.

Abstract: At present, the lack of the optimal cutting parameters of high speed milling is the obstacle to its widely application. In this paper, the simplified and rapid optimization method is proposed on high speed milling alloy thin-walled workpiece. The normal selection method of cutting tools and cutting conditions is put forward as the precondition of parameter optimization. The acquirement method of optimal parameters is presented. The maximal critical axial depths of cut at the different cutting conditions are achieved according to chatter stability theory. The materials removal rate is selected as the optimal objective. The optimal parameters are filtrated up and validated according to the constraint conditions including machining tool, cutting tools, surface quality and precision of the parts.

Abstract: The research was carried out on the parameter optimization of milling titanium alloy in this paper. The cutting models including cutting force, tool life and machined surface roughness are obtained by orthogonal array experiments. The maximum metal removal rate, MRR is selected as objective function. The constraints related to machine tool, workpiece, cutting tool and other machining situations are presented in details. Genetic algorithm is used to search for the optimum milling parameters for the maximum metal removal rate of titanium alloy. The optimization results show the optimization system can improve the productivity of milling Ti6Al4V obviously.
