Abstract: With the acceleration of urbanization and industrialization, the amount of MSW in China generated is growing fast, while the pollutants generated in the disposal process of MSW has gradually attracted people’s attention. This paper presents the generation and composition status of MSW in China, summarizing the problems during MSW incineration disposal, providing an assumption of kitchen waste separation and using heat balance calculation to analysis the impact of kitchen waste separation on MSW incineration. Results shows that after kitchen waste separated from MSW, the amount of MSW reduced obviously, moisture content dropped, calorific value improved, auxiliary fuel is not need to ensure the proper incineration process and combustion efficiency improved; meanwhile, the generation of greenhouse gases and air pollutants is reduced significantly. Overall, the separation of kitchen waste not only reduced the difficulty and handling stress of MSW incineration, but also improved the incineration efficiency, reduced the generation of pollutants during incineration process.

Abstract: Aluminum nitride whiskers have excellent characteristics, not only can be used in the high heat conductivity for the preparation of a new composite, but also can be used as a reinforcing agent for the preparation of a new composite toughened. Using wet, melamine, and aluminum nitrate as raw material, aluminum nitride whiskers precursor are prepared and pure aluminum nitride whiskers can be obtained by nitrogen and carbon removal processes. This kind of aluminum nitride whiskers possess smooth surface, uniform length, straight whisker, and a long cylindrical structure with a diameter of 4-6 μm and a length diameter ratio of 40-100.

Abstract: HTHP rheology was investigated for the water-based drilling fluid applied in Yuanba region of Southwest Gas Fields in China. The results showed that under the conditions of temperature up to 180°C and pressure up to 100MPa, the Bingham plastic model is adequate to predict transient rheology at the given HTHP conditions. Effects of temperature on rheology are more dominant than that of pressure, but the latter will enhance at high temperatures and low shear rates. Finally, HTHP viscosity models were established and evaluated for water-based drilling fluid.

Abstract: In this paper, porous carbon was made from biomass derived carbonaceous mesophase and carbonaceous fillers, and further applied as the substrate for CVD grow of nano carbon materials. With the assistance of microwave plasma, the acetone gas was decomposed into carbon and grew on the surface of the porous carbon, which produce ballas diamonds, carbon tubes, nets, petal, and other structures.
