Abstract: Today, all the companies around the world are looking for the best methods and ways to store and ensure the protection of their business information. Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry has huge and quite important daily operation data to store and backup yearly. As we know the storage capabilities increases, this is clear evidence that we are handling more information every day, for this reason is critical that our process to archiving and searching the information needs to be improve it. In this paper that demonstrates the effectiveness of the database script optimization & Lean strategy. Simple changes big impact, waste elimination, improves manufacturing execution and cycle time.

Abstract: To improve uniformity of quality in tobacco redrying process, an ANN-based method is proposed to predict the possible output of post-redrying. Firstly, this paper presents an intelligent process control model with ANN. And then, it describes the three-layers network and improves BP algorithm by using the method of variable learning rate, in which 10 process parameters were selected as inputs, the moisture and temperature of post-redrying as outputs, and one hidden with 25 neurons is designed. Finally, the ANN is trained to map the nonlinear relationship between inputs and outputs. With the analyses and comparisons, the result obtained shows that the prediction of possible output has higher accuracy by this improved ANN-based method. Such model designed can be suitable for quality improvement in the tobacco redrying process.

Abstract: The simulation, modeling and analysis of manufacturing systems for performance improvement have become increasingly important during the last few decades. This paper presents a practical solution to a manageable and well distributed work in process (WIP) control system with simulation experiment demonstrated by constructing the virtual production lines, addressing issues such as wafer kitting strategy, critical work in process level setting. The simulation WIP instances are coordinated and synchronized with production line influence factors and activities imported. Through the testing and actual practice, this simulation tool helps semiconductor assembly and test factory production managers effectively manage work-in-process (WIP) levels to compensate the impact of unexpected production variations and achieve better factory performance.

Abstract: In terms of transforming supply chain into integrated value systems, the benefits of Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) in product development have been widely accepted. As far as variety management and online configuration are concerned, the difficulties of ESI in online mass customization manifest themselves through two main aspects: (1) Support the seamless information integration with respect to its high variety and large volume not only among internal functions but also with external suppliers; (2) Support real-time online configuration for product configuration generation and optimization based on customer requirements and supplier capabilities. Accordingly, this work proposes two potential solutions. PFA-based integrated information model is established to synchronize the PFA generic structure and supplier product information.

Abstract: Knowledge discovery in database (KDD) represents a new direction of data processing and knowledge innovation. Design is a knowledge-intensive process driven by various design objectives. Implicit knowledge acquisition is key and difficult for the intelligent design system applied to mechanical product design. In this study, the characteristic of implicit design knowledge and KDD are analyzed, a model for product design knowledge acquisition is set up, and the key techniques including the expression and application of domain knowledge and the methods of knowledge discovery are discussed. It is illustrated by an example that the method proposed can be used to obtain the engineering knowledge in design case effectively, and can promote the quality and intelligent standard of product design.
