Abstract: Utilizing granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS), coal fly ash (FA), and furfural residue incineration ash (FRIA) as pozzolanic materials, then activated with calcium carbide residue (CCR) respectively to prepare all-solid-waste alkali activated binders (ASW binders). The laboratory tests were performed to research the effects of pozzolanic materials with different reactivity on the macro- and micro- characteristics of solidified marine soft soil. Results show that the mechanical properties and alkali-activation process of ASW binders solidified soil was determined mainly by the reactivity of pozzolanic materials, the higher reactivity of the pozzolanic materials in ASW binders couldn’t change the main hydration products, however, it would accelerate the hydrate reaction. The degree of hydrate reaction increased, the microstructure became denser with the increase of the reactivity of the pozzolanic materials in ASW binders solidified soil, on the macro- side, the strength and deformation modulus of the solidified soil increased, meanwhile, the brittleness of the solidified soil will be more obvious during the deformation resistance process. ASW binders (CCR:GBFS=1:1) solidified soil could reach the strength of cemented soil under the same conditions.

Abstract: For numerical simulation, the shear strength reduction technique (SSRT) is often used to evaluate slope or landslide stability. According to numerical computation results of slopes or landslides analyzed by SSRT, it can be found that with increase of the shear strength reduction factor, some of the soil elements will yield gradually to form a connected plastic zone, which is the potential slip surface of the slope or landslide. In view of the plastic resistance of soils, formation of the connected plastic zone does not always indicate that the landslide is about to failure. Other auxiliary criterion is necessary to predict whether a slope or landslide is in a critical state or not. Here, difference of the incremental percent of horizontal displacement of the outcropping slip surface node is regarded as the auxiliary indicator to distinguish the critical state of slopes or landslides after formation of the potential slip surface. With the ideas mentioned above, stability of a fossil landslide, Xietan landslide has been analyzed for the natural and the long-term reservoir water level conditions. Factors of safety of Xietan landslide by the numerical method have been compared with that by the limit equilibrium method, which indicates that the method used here for evaluating stability of Xietan landslide is feasible. Because numerical method has more advantages over the limit equilibrium method, the approach for evaluating stability of landslide here can be applied to more complicated or three-dimensional landslides or slopes further.

Abstract: Through unconfined compressive strength tests and triaxial compression tests made by sea water wet fly ash, fly ash solidified by cement, and the analysis with water wet strength of the material solidified fly ash formation mechanism, getting their basic mechanical properties and index. The results showed that curing water wet fly ash cement has good stability and durability, mixing curing mixture strength with age of stable growth, increased strength by adding cement content. The pilot research on the retaining structure, embankment reinforcement and ground improvement has important engineering applications such as theory and practice of value.
