Abstract: With the development of economy and society, urban construction rose to a new level in China. High-rise and super high-rise building increase rapidly. In the high-rise and super high-rise buildings (H≥150 m), the structural system usually adopts the conventional reinforced concrete, including frame tube structure, tube in tube structure, steel frame with reinforced concrete core tube hybrid structure and tube in tube steel - concrete mixed structure. These traditional structural systems often lead to the problems of fat beam fat column and high expenditure, which is not economic and unfriendly to the environment. This paper not only presents a new type of concrete core wall and prefabricated space steel grid cassette tube in tube structure system, but also discusses the superiority of the new type structure through the innovation and practice of a super high (266 m) five-star hotel and office building integrated engineering construction.

Abstract: A new type of steel / reinforced concrete composite open-web floor / roof structure is proposed. Its formation is a two-way intersectant open-web beam plate. The lower layer is a rib lattice that is composed of U-style steel slabs infilled with RC, the upper layer is assembled with pre-cast RC slabs and post-cast RC ribs, the connections of upper layer and lower layer are RC shear-bearing blocks. The plate has the specialties of lightweight, simple inside sight sense, high stiffness-weight ratio, and less seismic inertial force. Its formation, construction process, design method and main mechanical specialties are discussed.

Abstract: Reinforced concrete grid frame core-tube structure system is a new system. This article draws the conclusion that grid frame core-tube has high stiffness and obvious space affection, and that its basic mechanics properties is better than frame core-tube structure and similar to tube structure through the comparison of two tube structure systems, which the Inner tube is similar to grid frame core-tube and the outer tubes respectively are frame and high beam - column frame tube. It puts forward some reasonable suggestions for the future designation of this structural system.

Abstract: A new building system, which is called concrete grid framed tube with gypsum wall, is introduced in this paper. On the basis of an actual office building in Tang Shan city using this new system, the mechanical characteristics, economy and technology target are studied. The result indicates that: this new building system has good seismic behavior and high economic benefit and it is worth further study and further application.

Abstract: Anchor bolts are set in some elastomeric bearings of large-span column-supported spatial steel roofs. Besides helping the bearing in-site assembly, the bolts play the roles of sliding position limitation and vertical anchorage. To analyze the effect of bearings on nonlinear structural behavior, the bearing stiffness change is studied just before and after the elastomer pad is in contact with the bolts. For the bearing that the pad is glued with the top/bottom steel plates, three kinds of relation of pad and bolts are discussed and an approximate horizontal stiffness formula is obtained with parametric analysis method. Based on the analysis results a stiffness expression for sliding elastomeric bearings is deduced. To solve the computational problem caused by the bearing stiffness changes, an improved imbalance force vector formula is proposed. Case study shows that the bolts have influence upon the computed results more significantly.

Abstract: Impact experiment of a set of steel/RC composite beams was conducted. To consider the influence of local impact residual deformation, transient response was investigated using elastic-plastic contact law. Experiments show that the main failure mode is related to the value of potential energy of impacter and energy dissipation capacity of sand cushion. Each theoretical analysis result is slightly less than its corresponding experimental value. Experimental values and elastic-plastic contact analysis results present that the maximum displacement and the maximum steel strain on the lower layer at midspan increase with the thickness of sand cushion and the height of impacter.

Abstract: This paper presents the theory and practice of new types of long-span building structures developed at Guizhou University for the recent 25 years. The new structural systems include RC open-web sandwich plate structures, steel/RC composite open-web sandwich plate structures, prestressed RC open-web sandwich plate structures, and cast-in-place concrete round eye hollow plate structures. The mechanical characters and technical indexes of each system are described. The application of the structures is detailed in tables and photos.
