Abstract: The numerical simulation of squeeze casting to right motorcycle crankcase,as a object of study, has been performed ,based on finite element analysis software on casting and orthogonal test method.Firstly,the three feeding technology parameters, feeding pressure,feeding delay and dwell time, were confirmed by calculation and analysis after the forecast of shrinkage defects location,then,orthogonal test and test program optimization to the parameters were completed. The results show that the deeding effect was the best when the parameter values , respectively,were 190Mpa,7.5s and 12s.

Abstract: Problems with gear shaft formed by cross wedge rolling (CWR), such as slip, disorder of tooth, material deficiency at two sides of the gear, have restricted the application of this craft to form gear shafts. In this paper, numerical simulation on the process of gear shaft formed by cross wedge rolling was carried out with the help of solidworks and deform 3d. Compared with the standard profile, there is margin on the profile of the gear shaft for further process. It’s proved that the traditional methods to make a gear shaft can be replaced by CWR. From curves of force in three directions, it is easy to conclude that radical force and tangential force are the main forces which are exerted on the dies and vary similarly in all stages.

Abstract: To study the kinematic characteristics of a new designed flange vertical lathe with double machining tools, a virtual prototype model was developed in ADAMS with the help of PRO/E and MechPro, a seamless interface program between both mentioned software. And kinematic and dynamic simulations were carried out. The results of the simulations are consistent with the reality which states that the model was created correctly and the simulations were reliable.

Abstract: Universal shaft is widely used to transfer the torque and rotational movement from the drive shaft to the slave while position of one shaft can be changed. Crack used to appear in the fork part of the universal shaft in tests in a universal company. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, a finite element model of universal shaft was established with the application of Pro/E and ANSYS, and the static stiffness analysis, stress analysis and dynamic analysis were all applied in ANSYS. According to the results, the weak points were found and some improvements on the original structure were made.

Abstract: With the optimization design method of FE,the FE model of vertical flange lathe beam of double-tool holder was established,the sensitivity analysis of dynamic performance for the machine tool was performed based on presented modal analysis and probability analysis.The influence rules of the first four natural frequencies affected by the design parameters of the lathe beam were confirmed and the weaknesses of it were indicated as well.Then, the structure of the lathe beam was optimized.As a result ,the dynamic performances of the lathe beam are improved and it offers the basis for the optimization design of the other lathe parts.
