Abstract: The precision of cutter grinding decides the level of cutting machining technology, and the precision of cutter is effectively improved through grinding by CNC technology. This paper first analyzed the key parameters of cutter grinding, and realized the functions of CNC five-axis grinding turning tool through design of the structure of CNC five-axis machine tool and building of the control system, to simplify the structure of machine tool, use open CNC control system, and reduce the cost of whole machine, convenient for promotion and use.

Abstract: The optimum spark timing, biogas flow rate and excess air ratio are the important factors influencing the power output performance of ignition’s biogas engine. In this study, the biogas flow rates are set as 220, 240 and 260 L/min, respectively. Under each fixed biogas flow rate, it tests different excess air ratios, ranged from 0.8 to 1.2. The experiment results indicate that the optimal parameters are: spark timing(BTDC13), biogas supply rate(260L/min) and excess air ratio(0.95).

Abstract: For a new type of bevel gear named as logarithmic spiral bevel gear, establish its tooth direction curves and the mathematical model of tooth surface equation. With CAD software platform which can intuitive understanding of complex curves and combined with conical logarithmic spiral parameter equation build the logarithmic spiral on cone surface. Then array logarithmic spiral to make them evenly distributed in the cone surface, without any interference and to meet the strength distribution on both ends of circular truncated cone equally. Use two logarithmic spirals from different starpoint as tooth direction curves of lift and right tooth surface. Finally, use space geometric knowledge to build tooth surface equation by tooth direction curves and tooth profile curves.

Abstract: When Simultaneous Localization and Map Building is carried out in complex environments, reduction of computational complexity is a key problem. With a view to the high computational complexity of particle filter, a SLAM solution named ‘Fast Kalman SLAM’ is introduced. Adopting the ‘decomposition’ idea in the FastSLAM algorithm, Fast Kalman SLAM factors the joint SLAM state into a path component and a conditional map component. The robot pose is estimated recursively with Mean Extended Kalman Filter (MEKF) or Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF), while the map with Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). Simulative experiments are carried out to evaluate the performance of the presented algorithm. And Simulation analysis is made for the presented algorithm. The experimental results indicate that the new algorithm reduces computational complexity greatly and ensures estimation accuracy at the same time.

Abstract: Precision cutting, considering the time, cost and flexibility of the production, has been one of the major goals in manufacturing. Nowadays with helping of a lot of modern technology including many of instruments with high accuracy or of many researches focused on using new technological tools such as linear motors, laser and piezoelectric actuators in cutting operations to decrease the basic parts errors (straightness, roundness, diameter error, etc.) for commercial CNC lathes in a cheaper way, but errors always happened after manufacturing between the geometry of the parts which the designer wants to get and the actual parts after manufacturing .In this research Taguchi method is used to design optimal parameters for the high-speed CNC milling machine to reduce parts geometric errors for manufacturing with cheaper cost, economic with using available instruments on the industrial partners.

Abstract: Polishing is a manufacturing process for surface-smoothing. To minimize surface damage and defects, gentle polishing conditions are required. The main objective of this research is to determine the effect of polishing conditions by using Taguchi method , and to optimize the process parameters to obtain the best surface possible. The experimental results indicate that a set of optimal polishing conditions for producing work surface within the range of parameters evaluated, double oblique polishing path, relatively high speed and low feed rate are desirable for improve surface.

Abstract: Manufacturing companies today are looking for the new manufacturing methods.These companies are designing elaborate manufacturing systems in an attempt to meet market trend as well as diverse customer requirements.Recently these manufacturing systems have most often taken the form of Continuous Flow Manufacturing systems, which is represented by one long transfer line containing all relevant operations,or workstations,required to produce a given product.A transfer line of this type is quite susceptible to individual workstation performance,because a breakdown at any one of the workstation would cause the entire line to stop and production to cease. Due to the inherent advantages of Cellular Manufacturing to meet requirements customer, increase productivity, reduce costs,the Cellular Manufacturing can improve the effectiveness of most production line. This paper discusses the development and implementation of a combined production line that takes some its advantages from Continuous Flow Manufacturing and Cellular Manufacturing.

Abstract: Nowadays NC cutting processing has become one of the basic methods of machine manufacture. However, the single precision has failed to meet the demand for the modern manufacture. The surface roughness, tools wear and material removal ratio are used as the objective to research, the orthogonal experiment is built by the Taguchi methods, and the fuzzy analysis is adopted to set up semantic rules between turning parameter and the objects. Then the Taguchi method is used to obtain the optical turning parameter. The QTN200M-500U NC turning center is used to carry out the turning experiment; Results from the experiments could be used as the references for future manufacturing designs.

Abstract: In this paper, the shortcomings of the NURBS interpolator based on Taylor expansion were analyzed and shown clearly based on studying the definition and characteristic of the NURBS curve. The length function and inverse length function were employed in the length calculation of the singularity NURBS curve. The inverse length function was used to validate the length calculating of the NURBS curve. At last, a robust NURBS interpolator algorithm with singular knots was proposed.
