Abstract: This article describes the theory foundation of X-ray separation technology and introduces the study status, configuration and work principle of X-ray separator. This paper also conducts X-ray separating experiment on the low grade ores of Mo and Ni respectively in Liaoning province. The low grade Mo ore experiment can obtain a good result with the concentrate recovery, enrichment ratio and concentrate grade being 73.11%, 2.03 and 0.130% respectively and the tailings discarding ratio being 63.70%. The low grade Ni ore experiment can obtain a good result with the concentrate recovery and enrichment ratio concentrate grade being 61.92%, 1.45and 0.64% respectively and the tailings discarding ratio being 61.63%.

Abstract: The test of low grade Mo ore preconcentration index according to different separation threshold value was studied in this article. The results indicated that preconcentration index varies with the block of feeded material. Under the same test conditions ,the beneficiation index of -100+60mm size class particle was better than the other grain-sized particles and too large or too small particles all can affect the preconcentration index adversely.

Abstract: Lizardite was as the research mineral in the paper, and the surface properties of lizardite and magnesium in the surface properties of the solution and the the natural flotability of lizardite were studied. The surface of lizardite easily produced unsaturated groups, and lizardite in the slurry can be generated in the Mg2+, MgOH+, H3SiO3-, H2SiO42-, H6Si2O42- ions and acid molecules and Mg(OH)2 precipitation, that result in the high PZC of lizardite, and the natural flotability of lizardite was poor in sodium oleate and DDA flotation system.

Abstract: In alkaline condition, experiments were taken to investigate the influence of different regulators on the flotation behaviors of brucite and serpentine when sodium oleate was the collector. The regulators used in experiments included sodium silicate, tannin and calcium lignosulphonate. The results showed that sodium silicate had a great effect on the flotation. When the regulator was the sodium silicate, serpentine recovery rate was less than 10% and brucite recovery was about 90% in the pH of 10. After analysis, brucite and serpentine may be separated effectively by sodium silicate. At last, the function mechanism of sodium silicate was probed. The electrostatic adhesion between serpentine and sodium silicate accured, and the surface of serpentine was negative so that it was difficult to be collected by sodium oleate; Instead, the impact of sodium silicate on brucite was weak, and the surface of brucite was still positive so that it could be collected easily.

Abstract: With the rise of gold prices, a large amount of gold resources will be exploited, which leads to more and more refractory gold ore appeared. It has very important practical significance to accelerate the development of refractory gold resources. This paper has done the separation tests of low-grade gold ore with high sulfur and arsenic from Tianmashan, Tong Ling in China. The chemical elements component, mineral composition, and the dissemination of mineral and gold have been analyzed. The separation flowsheet tests have been explored, and the preliminary results and appropriate reagent regime have been obtained.

Abstract: This study investigated the flotation in sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate system, the effects of phytic acid on talc flotation mechanism, then proposed a new flowsheet to handle this kind talc ore, namely “one roughing-three cleaning-one scavenging’’. The closed-circle flotation test in laboratory can obtain a concentrate with the SiO2 and CaO grade of the concentrate is 61.87% and 0.60%, the SiO2 recovery is 72.59%, removal rate of tremolitei is 95.85%. This paper improved the economic value of the talc containing asbestos, laid the foundation of industrial applications.
