Abstract: In this paper the characteristics of pulse electrochemical deburring (PECD) is analyzed through a developed mathematical model and main influencing factors such as applied voltage, pulse duty factor, deburring time, initial burr height and initial interelectrode gap on burr height have been analyzed. The paper also highlights the scheme of the developed PECD system designed to operate within the parametric limits. The calculated results obtained from the mathematical model are found to be approximately consistent with the experimental results. The results show that initial burr height h0=0.057mm is removed, and the fillet radius R=0.248mm is obtained. The present paper through various parametric studies will act as a guideline for the operation of a PECD system.

Abstract: From the viewpoint of the change of the anodic surface microtopography in the process of Electrochemical Finishing (ECF), this paper studies the anodic smoothening mechanism of ECF and puts forward the directional issue of the dissolution of anodic surface in the microtopography sense. On condition that the anodic material is dissolved along with the normal direction of the micro-profile on the anodic surface, the influence of wave length of the micro-profile on the smoothening effect is discussed in detail and the mathematical model based on the “lateral direction dissolution” is established. Finally, ECP is taken as the example and the experiment is carried out, the result shows that the smoothening rule obtained by experiment accords with that by calculation.

Abstract: Utilize the characteristic that magnetic force line may penetrate the non-magnetic material, using the magnetic abrasive finishing (MAF) method complete to the non-magnetic small workpiece surface precise processing. In order to enhance polishing efficiency, usually with the magnetic particles and abrasive particles mixes together in the sinter method or the cementation method, the cost is higher; the variety is not also complete. Therefore, use the simply mixed method mixed the ferromagnetism iron particles, the alumina particles and the lipin, directly participates in magnetism polishing, already obtained the good processing effect through the experiment. This paper analysis and explanation the best experimental condition such as the granularity proportion of the ferromagnetism iron particles and the alumina particles etc.
