Abstract: In this paper, the flue gas desulfurization gypsum (FGD) generated from thermal power plant is used to produce high strength gypsum. The basic properties of super high strength gypsum prepared by FGD gypsum are investigated based on the test results of strength, thermal expansion rate, crystal appearance and size. The results indicate that the properties of high strength gypsum prepared by FGD gypsum above α50 standard. This can be a reference for gypsum-based α super high-strength gypsum related product development.

Abstract: In this paper, the low-silicon palladium-platinum tailing is used to produce autoclaved aerated concrete. The influences of water binder ratio, palladium-platinum tailing content, lime content and conditioning agents on the compressive strength of the autoclaved aerated concrete are investigated. Optimal raw material formulation and procedure are determined for the autoclaved aerated concrete. The compressive strength and frost resistance of autoclaved aerated concrete made by the optimal raw material formulation and procedure meet with the requirements of autoclaved aerated concretes of B06 grade, and its thermal conductivity, drying shrinkage reach the requirements of the relevant national standards of China.

Abstract: This paper describes replacing natural gypsum with FGD gypsum as cement retarder, the influence on the working performance, compressive strength and admixture adaptability of concretes, which were prepared with fly ash cement, slag cement and ordinary Portland cement. The results indict the FGD gypsum instead of natural gypsum used as cement retarder has little difference on the working performance of concrete and additionally the FGD gypsum has no negative influence on the compressive strength and admixture adaptability of concretes.

Abstract: Compared with natural gypsum, the basic properties of FGD gypsum are studied based on the test results and then the influence of FGD gypsum’s chemical constituents, impurities and particle size distribution on its products is analyzed. The results indicate the impurities play an important role on the FGD gypsum behavior. Finally, the differences between FGD gypsum and natural gypsum are summarized.

Abstract: This experimental research was to investigate the chloride penetration and consolidation behavior of OPC and coal gangue added cement. By comparing the results of two kinds of cement, results showed that the chloride consolidation of gangue added cement is higher than OPC. The chloride consolidation increased with more gangue added. The coal gangue is helpful to impede the chloride ingress until the added content reach 30%. The more gangue content decreased the fluid of mortar. And this increased the porosity of harden pastes. Furthermore the corrosion behavior of steel bar in OPC and G30 samples were conducted. Corrosion potential of gangue added cement moved positively comparing with OPC. These indicated that the propriety gangue content was helpful to steel bar protection.
