Abstract: As producing and outsourcing services (POS) are appearing to be increasingly explosive nowadays in manufacturing industry, an efficient technology is needed immediately to manage the POS relationships, create manufacturing orders and integrate the distributed social manufacturing resources. Therefore, a web-based mobile producing and outsourcing service platform (mobi-POSP) for industrial equipment manufacturing is built up and proposed in this paper. Its running principles, designed functions and some key enabling technologies are talked in detail. Finally, four truly cases run in the prototype mobi-POSP to show its feasibility and applicability.

Abstract: As the production mode evolves, social manufacturing has emerged for enterprises to outsource non-core production tasks, make full use of the distributed socialized manufacturing resources and get value-added services. A social manufacturing system was proposed to configure customized community space (CCS) of an enterprise, organize CCS into manufacturing community and search for best partners for the enterprise. The framework of the proposed system is given. Correspondingly, three key enabling technologies are discussed to support the implementation of the system, that is, socialized manufacturing resources (SMRs) configuration, social manufacturing community (SMC) organization and collaboration and manufacturing outsourcing service (MOS) searching and matching. Finally, the conclusions are drawn and the future work of research in this area is given.

Abstract: The purpose of this work is to develop a graphical method for describing the work-in- progress (WIP) material flow of a workpiece in order to realize RFID-driven real-time data sampling and support following-up Auto-ID computing. Firstly, various processes in a job-shop floor are formalized graphically by using different types of state-blocks, which depend on RFID detecting spaces and tag detections. And then an event set is deduced from the connecting relations among state blocks and is used for creating the event-driven graphical model in the context of the WIP material flow of a workpiece. To verify the feasibility of the proposed method, a description case is given.

Abstract: Under the great trend of social manufacturing, the professional social division of labour in manufacturing industry and the distribution of manufacturing resources force more and more enterprises focus on their core business than ever before and outsource most of the non-core manufacturing activities to other professional organizations. In this condition, this paper proposed a new-type cloud system which is call cloud machining community (CMC) to integrate the distributed MRs and provide on-demand services for service requestors who need them. The framework of CMC together with it working flow is proposed. At last, some key enabling technologies are talked about in detail, such as virtual access of machining resources (MRs) and machining demands (MDs), retrieval and matching between MRs and MDs, generation of machining groups and creditworthiness evaluation mechanism.

Abstract: To solve problems concerning the process quality control of short-runs, a framework of quality control system for short-runs is put forward, and corresponding functional modules and working mechanism are also studied. The system is established on the foundation of machining error propagation network (MEPN), and quality control and improvement can be implemented by analyzing the dynamic characteristics of MEPN. In addition, some key enabling technologies, including MEPN modeling and analysis, error source diagnosis based on fuzzy inference as well as error coordination and optimization, were discussed in detail.

Abstract: Service-oriented manufacturing is a new manufacturing paradigm, which has appeared in large-scale enterprises cluster in recent years. In this paper, the property of community structure for service-oriented enterprises collaboration network (so-ECN) has been investigated. First, characteristics and modeling of so-ECN are presented. Then, implementing procedure of community structure is provided to evaluate the collaboration clustering behavior. Finally, the conclusions and future work are put forward.

Abstract: In the multistage machining processes (MMPs), SPC is widely utilized to control the quality of machining processes and diagnose the processing error. But there is a defect, that it can not compensate the error when the machining process is abnormal. For this issue, a new method of quality diagnosis and error compensation is proposed based on EPC (engineering process control). A new framework for processes quality diagnosis and error compensation about the description of machining processes and controlling mechanism of machining process quality is proposed first. And the mapping model of machining error propagation is introduced to explore the model of the error compensation decision. From theoretical level, modeling level and solution level, the mapping model from the decision model based on EPC to SPC is studied, in which the key technologies are the machining error propagation model and the error compensation model. Therefore, the machining error propagation network is utilized to build the error propagation model, and an adaptive control method based on the stability theory is introduced to make error coordination optimization.

Abstract: Real-time monitoring is an important function for manufacturing execution systems (MES). In order to acquire the real-time data information, RFID technology is used to collect the data in shop-floor. This paper studies RFID middleware for the real-time monitoring in discrete manufacturing. Firstly, a process flow model is proposed. And the model of the process flow is converting into a manufacturing node flow. Secondly, RFID devices are configured for the manufacturing node. And a formalized description for RFID middleware mode is suggested. For the sake of resolving the model of RFID middleware, the data process policy is studied, and the real-time status of the monitored part is acquired. At last, a prototypical software system is developed to demonstrate above ideas.

Abstract: To improve maintenance of industrial product service systems, an outsourcing e-maintenance system (OEMS) based on active technical maintenance provision of the product manufacturer/vender or service supplier is presented, and then a framework for enabling the OEMS is proposed. The framework includes three layers, that is, development layer, function layer and application layer. The key information and communication technologies (ICTs) for developing the framework are introduced in detail. In addition, an OEMS prototype is developed for illustrating the proposed framework.

Abstract: Service-oriented manufacturing is a new manufacturing paradigm in workshop level. To clarify configuration issues of service-oriented manufacturing executive system (so-MES), a conceptual framework and hierarchical structure model are put forward. The framework consists of three modules: the manufacturing resource distribution, the process-flow planning, the sensor and inspection planning. And then, methodology for enabling the framework is presented in detail. Finally, a simple example is provided to verify the proposed method.
