Abstract: Proportion, integration and differential gain of nonlinear PID Controller is nonlinear function of controlling error. This paper performed the non-linear PID controller parameter optimization of vertical take-off and landing stage for tilt rotor aircraft using the genetic algorithm. Dual loop control is used. Inner loop is angular velocity loop. Outer loop is angular position loop. According to the features of stability control of vertical take-off and landing stage of tilt rotor aircraft, system ascend time, steady error, and weighted overshoot are chosen as objective function of optimization. Simulation results show that controller designed by the present method can meet the requirement of control.

Abstract: This paper utilized the genetic algorithm to optimize the PID controller of vertical take-off and landing stage of tilt rotor aircraft. According to the features of stability control of vertical take-off and landing stage of tilt rotor aircraft, system ascend time, steady error, and weighted overshoot are chosen as objective function of optimization. Simulation results show that PID controller designed by the genetic algorithm possess the excellent flexibility, adaptability and can produce the better control effect.

Abstract: Stress of simply functionally graded plates is predicted by the meshless method based on inverse multiquadrics radial basis function. The genetic algorithm is utilized to optimize the shape parameter of inverse multiquadrics radial basis function. The stress of simply functionally graded plates is calculated using the inverse multiquadrics with optimal shape parameter and compared with the analytical results of available literatures.

Abstract: Meshless collocation method based on generalized multiquadrics radial basis function is used to study the free vibration of simply supported laminated composite plates. The generalized multiquadric radial basis function g=[r2+c2]q has the exponent q and shape parameter c that play an important role in the accuracy of the approximation. Genetic algorithm is utilized to optimize the shape parameter and exponent of generalized multiquadrics radial basis function. The natural frequencies of simply supported laminated composite plates are calculated using the generalized multiquadrics with optimal shape parameter, exponent and compared with the analytical solutions.

Abstract: Optimization of fiber orientation angle is studied to minimize the deflection of the laminated composite plates by the genetic algorithm. The objective function of optimization problem is the minimum deflection of laminated composite plates under the external load; optimization parameters are fiber orientation angle of laminated composite plates. The results for the optimal fiber orientation angle and the minimum deflection of the 4-layer plates are presented to demonstrate the validity of present method.

Abstract: The genetic algorithm is used to minimize the stress of the laminated composite plates by optimizing the fiber orientation angle. The objective function of optimization problem is the minimum stress in center of laminated composite plates under the external load; optimization variables are fiber orientation angle. The results for the optimal fiber orientation angle and the minimum stress of the 2-layer plates and 3-layer plates are presented.

Abstract: Sinusoidal shear deformation theory is presented to analyze the natural frequencies of simply supported laminated composite plates. The governing differential equations based on sinusoidal theory are solved by a Navier-type analytical method. The present results are compared with the available published results which verify the accuracy of sinusoidal theory.

Abstract: This paper performed the longitudinal nonlinear PID Controller parameter optimization of general aircraft autopilot based on the longitudinal channel model and genetic algorithm. Proportion, integration and differential gain of nonlinear PID Controller is nonlinear function of controlling error. The objection function involves time integration of error’s absolute value, output of controller and system overshoot. The longitudinal controlling rate optimization of general aircraft autopilot is realized by minimizing the objection function value. Simulation results show that controller designed by the present method is better than traditional PID controller.
