Abstract: Based on the illustration of the importance of the coordination between forest and socio-economy, a dynamic programming model aimed at the coordination is created and the basic characters of the functions in the model are discussed. A solution under a simple and ideal situation is studied, which results in the equation of the economic yield when forest coordinates with socio-economy and several other conclusions.

Abstract: The development of photovoltaic industry can produce great socio-economic implications in terms of induced production and job creation. The world photovoltaic market has been growing and will be strongly influenced by photovoltaic costs and available technologies.. The overall cost to implement a facility for module production having a capacity per year that may be regarded as the minimum profitable size for module production in China is considered. An input–output analysis is used for assessing the relative economic impact on production and employment. A sensitivity analysis shows that the results are reasonably robust.

Abstract: The relation between R&D input and patent output in Chinese software firms is empirically analyzed. Estimations from both time series data and cross-section data show that there is a significantly causal and quantitative relation between the R&D input and the patent output in Chinese software firms, and the R&D input has leg effects on the patent output. By calculating the output elasticity it is found that Chinese software firms have stepped into the era of knowledge economy, but their human capital remains homogenous. From the composition of the source of R&D capital input it is inferred that in the macro level market-demand has become a major source of these firms’ technological innovations.
