Abstract: The carrying of Liquid hybrid bearing for ultra-high speed grinding is complex. The oil film temperature distribution in different input state is obtained through CFD analysis by FLUENT. On this basis, the temperature characteristics laws of the oil film with the input parameters change were obtained. Analysis shows that the relationships of oil film temperature with spindle speed and eccentricity are directly proportional and super linear, the relationship of oil film temperature with oil supply pressure is inverse ratio and the relationship with oil supply temperature is approximation directly proportional to the linear. Finally the significant of the various input parameters are analyzed through the orthogonal test. The results show that the effect of spindle speed is most significantly.

Abstract: Medical titanium plates with smooth surface will be long-standing in body under the condition of free state when it used for bone fixation. To solve this problem, function-surface titanium plates with a certain roughness and shape must be grinded. So ceramic CBN abrasion wheel is used to grind titanium alloy in CNC machining tool and the status of force, heat and vibration in the grinding process will be monitored in the same time. The surface morphology which can meet the growth of tissue could be obtained in a certain technological conditions by observing the grinded surface with super depth of field microscopy devices.

Abstract: The simulation of computer numerically control (CNC) machining process is an important component of CAM, it can check errors and enhance the automation of machining process. In order to realize the material removal simulation of machining process through VC++ and OpenGL, this paper does the research on the Boolean operations based on the Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) modeling technique. Firstly, this paper introduces the CSG technique, especially the creating complex object from simple primitives by the operations of Boolean algebra and the frame buffer. Then this paper achieves the solid modeling of cutter and stock through VC++ and OpenGL, and does the research on the theory of cutter’s swept volume generation. In terms of the theory, a cutter’s swept volume is created. Finally, the Boolean difference operation of a stock and the cutter’s swept volume is realized, and the code is also given.

Abstract: During handling airplane low-rigid parts, it often horizontally hanger it with rope or sling. Combined with frictionics, this article analyses the force in vacuum sling of aeronautical low-rigid parts and gets the corresponding conclusion to design hangers for reference.By establishing finite element model, the deformation of hoisting is static analysed by ANSYS.The research results is to provide necessary conclusions in effectively resolving the optimization of designing of vacuum lifting system.

Abstract: In this paper, we present the modeling and kinematics simulation of a six-DOF segment erector for tunnel boring machine (TBM), which is performed in the virtual prototype platform. The 3D virtual assembling model of a tunnel segment erector is built based on Pro/E software according to its design parameters such as structure and size. After the interference inspection, the model is imported into ADAMS through the interface module of Mech/Pro. The model is simplified and optimized reasonably and various constraints are applied under variety working conditions. The results of simulation show that the design has six degrees of freedom movement capacity which meets the design requirements. At the same time the kinematics characteristics of each part along three different directions are obtained and they will provide some references for the further optimal design.

Abstract: Design methods for medical rapid prototyping (RP) of personalized cranioplasty implants are presented in this paper. RP offers an easier way to design customized implants and manufacture them within a very short period. Computed tomography (CT) scans were acquired on a General Electric CT scanner and converted to solid models using Mimics software from Materialise. Stereo lithography patterns were prototyped using Objet build style on a Eden 250.The models helped the surgeons plan and rehearse the surgery well in advance. RP biomedical model is greatly convenient to diagnosis and treatment planning. It could decrease the operation time and the risk of misinterpretation of the medical problem. A physical biomedical model also facilitates surgery planning and makes the rehearsal and simulation of the operation possibly.

Abstract: Automatic capsule filling machine was key equipment in medicine enterprise. Based on the NJP3400, the working principle and the characteristic of capsule filling machine were analyzed. The 3-D model was built with the software of Pro/E. The dynamic of capsule filling machine was researched based the soft of ADAMS, and then, dynamic simulation of the model was done. The limited position and correlation parameter of force, length, velocity and acceleration was studied. The results indicated that the locomotion parameter of capsule filling machine could be optimized effectively by using ADAMS.

Abstract: With the development of NC machine tool and NC machining, the postprocessor is play a vital role increasingly, which is an interface of operations in CAM and NC machine tools transformed cutter location data into machining control data. The general kinematics model of various machine tools was constructed by analysis of machine tools configuration and NC control systems. The coordinates were of machining files calculated using Coordinate transformation matrix in the process of post-processing. Finally, a postprocessor develop by VC++ and secondary development tool in UG, through the implementation of the postprocessor and the verification with the commercial NC simulation software VERICUT as well as the machining experiment, the effectiveness of the proposed methods were demonstrated.

Abstract: The most frequent cause of defect in the mandible is tumor-related surgery. Larger defects cause severe morbidity due to disturbances in function and esthetics. A fibular free flap is one way of filling a bony hole in either the upper or lower jaw. It is one of the common ways of replacing bone that has been removed for cancer treatment. Doctors use a free fibular flap which is grafted from the patient who needs a transplant operation to fit the defect. In this study, a new method combining preoperative planning and rapid prototyping for mandibular fibula free flap reconstruction after tumor surgery was made based on Mimics software simulating surgery on a workstation. The preparatory work of surgery is divided into two parts: software simulation and model building. During software simulation the authors were able to choose the best site for the osteotomies regarding circulation and the model building can increase the precision and speed of treatment. A description of our surgical approach is presented and is supplemented by an illustrative case.

Abstract: Cutting processes of single abrasive grain were simulated respectively by fluid-solid interaction method and Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method. Advantages and disadvantages of the two methods were compared. Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method is superior to fluid-solid interaction method in simulating the deformation behavior of workpiece material for the motion of SPH particles. According to the simulation results, it is concluded that workpiece material occurs plastic deformation, flows to the side and front owing to the extrusion of abrasive grain, and finally forms chip in front of abrasive grain.
