Abstract: The effect of pavement roughness on the roadbed and retaining structure underground was studied. Three different groups of International Roughness Index (IRI) were analyzed based on 6221 data collection instrument in this paper. Results show that different pavement roughness has different effect on retaining structure. Additionally, the vibration RMS increases with IRI when it is in the range of normal driving for the car, but amplitude of the IRI is larger. Finally, the main factors which influence the stability of structure and some corresponding improving measures are presented.

Abstract: With all parameters being seemed as random variables with Gaussian distribution,and Latin Hypercube Sampling method being used, the strength of ribbed cylindrical shell is computed based finite element and Monte Carlo Method. By probability sensitivity diagram, scatter diagram and related coefficient, the sensitivity of random variable of ribbed cylindrical shell is analyzed based on the method of random sensitivity analysis. The results show that shell thickness, external pressure, frame spacing and internal radius are more sensitivity than the other variables, so these variables can be treated as sensitivity factors.

Abstract: Based on the compaction test and unconfined compression test of cement soil, the optimum water content is ascertained. The relationship is studied about cement content, curing time and unconfined compression strengths, ultimate strain of compacted cement soil in this paper. The results indicate that the unconfined compression strengths increase in linear with the increase of curing time and cement content on the whole, and the ultimate strains decrease with the increase of cement content and curing time. The results provide theoretical basis for rational construction mixture ratio and parameter which have been successfully used to a project and achieved good economic benefit.
