Abstract: On the basis of the engineering background of cross passage construction in the Chen Yu Tunnel project, the collapse section above the intersection of the existing tunnel is selected to establish finite element model. Considering the effect of cross passage construction and the local weakening area of surrounding rock on the safety of existing tunnel structure, the strength of the shotcrete supporting structure of existing tunnel intersection is checked, and the security of the existing tunnel is evaluated. This research is of great practical significance and a certain reference value for the plan and design upon the construction of tunnel engineering.

Abstract: Water damage in asphalt pavement is related to the interaction between cracks and hydrodynamic pressures caused by the vehicle. A 3D finite element model of the hydraulic crack in asphalt pavement was built to analyze the crack propagation character under vehicle load. The influence of asphalt pavement structure parameters, vehicle speed and crack geometric parameters of hydraulic crack were discussed. Then the differences, between aqueous cracks and cracks without water, were compared. The research results had the guiding meaning for anti-water damage design of asphalt pavement.

Abstract: The damage of void under cement concrete slab is one of the main diseases in cement concrete pavement. By finite element method, a 3-D model of cement concrete pavement structure was established to simulate the partial void under the cement concrete pavement slab with different loading conditions. The process of the division between the subgrade and the slab with a soft area under the slab are reappeared. The changing rules of the void size with the number of cycle load in case of different tie pressure and loading location (at the center, edge or corner of the slab).
