Abstract: In this paper, we designed two experiments that can be used to investigate: 1) whether pen-based input operation can be affected by tilt angle of tablet; 2) at which tilt angle of tablet can user do pen-based input operation with comfort, quickness, and accuracy. The experiments include pointing tasks (1-dimensional and 2-dimensional) based on Fitts’ law and stroking tasks (linear and circle) based on Steering law. Each task would be done under 5 kinds of tilt angle of tablet: 0, 15, 30, 45, and 60 degrees.

Abstract: Studies on touch screen mainly focus on modalities of input, but the effect caused by environmental parameters has not been studied seriously. In this paper, we designed two experiments that can be used to investigate: whether pen-based input operation can be affected by tilt angle of touch screen, and at which tilt angle of touch screen can user do input operation with comfort, quickness, and accuracy. The experiments we designed include pointing tasks (1-dimensional and 2-dimensional) based on Fitts’ law and stroking tasks (linear and circle) based on Steering law. Each task would be done under 6 kinds of tilt angle of touch screen: 0, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees.

Abstract: With the speeding urbanization process in China, the amount of floating population increases at an unprecedented speed. How to solve the housing security issue now becomes a key indicator for social stability. In this paper, a new low-income housing requirement prediction method is proposed based on stepped leveling of floating population and related evaluation index predictions. Using Logistic retardant population growth model and Todaro method, floating population in the next 5 years is predicted. Then the population is divided into stepped levels to predict housing requirement. Based on the prediction of commercial house price, the method of predicting low-income house demand for different levels in urban areas is given. To demonstrate the proposed model and method, Shanghai Statistical data over the years are used and analyzed.

Abstract: The paper presents the economic comparing of heat pump using wastewater with other heating and cooling technology for buildings. The coal burning boiler, oil fired boiler, gas burning boiler and electric boiler were chosen to compare with heat pump using wastewater. A profitability evaluation of the investment in above-mentioned four projects and heat pump was carried out, using dynamic annual computation cost. In the research, the periods of time in which the investment is going to return itself were established. The results indicate that initial investment and dynamic annual computation cost of heat pump are lowest except to coal burning boiler. Therefore in current energy and environment policy, heat pump using wastewater as source is worth of popularizing.
