Abstract: Due to the low transparency and poor gloss, the applications of ordinary opaque polypropylene are limited largely in the field of food, medicine, medical instrument and packaging. One of the ways to solve the defects mentioned above is to develop transparent polypropylene which is industrialized via polymerization and processing. The article introduces the progress of high transparent polypropylene (HTPP) all over the world.

Abstract: This paper introduces the current situation of the ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plants decarbonization system of Sinopec Maoming company. The solid polymer produced in condensate liquid of reecycle gas is characterized. The formative factors of polymer are analysed.Some referential basises are provided for plants long-periodic safety production.

Abstract: Polypropylene grafted with maleic anhydride (PP-g-MA) was prepared and then was used as compatibilizer in the alloy of r-PET/PP to improve the compatibility of different phases. The influences of grafting ratio of MA, the additive amount of PP-g-MA, and the ratio of r-PET and PP to the flowability and the mechanical properties of r-PET/PP were researched. The results obtained show that PP-g-MA can improve the compatibility of different phases; the favorite grafting ratio of MA on PP mainchains is 1.4%; when the additive amount of PP-g-MA is 12%, melt index of r-PET/PP indicates that not only the flowability of r-PET/PP becomes better but also the tensile strengthen is higher; the ratio of r-PET and PP should be designed at 20/80 in order to obtain satisfied results.

Abstract: The Avrami equation was used in the study of the isothermal crystallization kinetics of Polyvinyl pyrrolidone/Polyamide 6 Blends. The addition of PVP can hinder the PA6 crystallization process, increase the crystallization half-time and make the crystallization rate decrease. The molecular entanglements and intermolecular hydrogen bonds between PA6 and PVP chains exert some influence also.

Abstract: 3-10%(wt) Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) was mixed with PA6 through the twin-screw extruder, a new type of high hygroscopic nylon resins can be obtained. With the increasing addition of PVP the crystalline state of PA6 changes from γ to α phase. The intermolecular hydrogen bond exists between PVP and PA6. The FTIR and WAXD analysis can approve the existence of the intermolecular hydrogen bond and the change of the PA6 crystalline state.
