Abstract: Plasma arc was used as a heat source to make a surface quenching on alloy cast iron, and orthogonal test was used to optimize the surface hardening technological parameter of plasma arc. The influence of the technological parameters on hardness and depth of the hardening layer was analyzed, and the microhardness and the microscopic structure condition after being disposed were also analyzed and discussed.

Abstract: Aiming at the issue on the development of gear form grinding machine, a method for analyzing the dynamic behaviors of the machine column was introduced. Based on the model of gear grinding machine developed before, a suitable finite element model of the column was established firstly. Modal analysis on the column was carried out by means of ANSYS software, and the first five natural frequencies and vibration modes of the column were obtained. According to the analysis results, some improvements on the original column structure were made. By comparing the static and dynamic behaviors of several different rib structures presented, the best column structure is selected. This method offers theoretical basis for the structural improvement of gear grinding machine.

Abstract: Aiming at the dressing of involute grinding wheel, the mathematical model of involute interpolation is established. Taking the normal tolerance δ as accuracy index, the dense degree of interpolation points can be changed constantly with the change of developable angle increment △θ so that the numbers of interpolation points can meet the requirements not only for interpolating accuracy, but for interpolating efficiency. The wheel dressing software developed by using VC++ as programming tool can be applied for dressing the involute grinding wheel which can be used to grind involute gears with different teeth and modules. The results of simulation experiment verify the feasibility and correctness of the software.

Abstract: Ionitrriding and plasma arc surface quenching are seprately used to harden screw surface for settling the wearing problem of bulking machine extruding screw during the feed production process in the paper.The results indicate that surface hardness is incresed 1~2times and the depth of harden layer is about 0.15~0.3 millimeter by ionitrding,but plasma arc surface quenching can improve the surface hardness of screw 2~3times, and the depth of harden layer is about 0.2~0.45 millimeter. Metallurgical structure of harden layer is also analysed and discussed.
