Abstract: During rubber processing, many factors can affect the mechanical properties of rubber composite. The influence of ambient temperature and content of titanate coupling agent and modified attapulgite (OAT) on mechanical properties were investigated by preparing rubber composites and measuring. The results showed that the rubber composite which was filled 40phr OAT modified by 3% titanate and prepared at the ambient temperature above 20 had best tensile strength (18.93MPa). There is a special phenomenon that the tensile strength had a rapid increase from 4.72MPa to 18.93MPa, when the content of OAT changed from 20 to 40phr in the experiment.

Abstract: In this work, purified and surface-pretreated attapulgite was added to the common recipe of the skin-care cream and the improved cream products, containing clay minerals, were prepared. In order to optimize the moisturizing and sunscreen properties of the cream products, different attapulgite addition was tried and the grinding time of the attapulite was considered. The result shows that, by adding attapulgite clay, the moisturizing and sunscreen properties of the skin-care products can be improved respectively.

Abstract: By fitting calculation of functional relationship between charge quantity and temperature on condition that powders were shielded, a device was proposed to measure spontaneous polarity of powders, and samples of typical tourmaline were measured. The results showed when tourmaline powders of different origins were heated to 80, minimum value of spontaneous polarization strength was 3.204×10-4C/m2, and maximum value was 1.53×10-3C/m2. The conclusion was in accord with results got from crystal structure analysis, and repeatability r was 1.726×10-6C/m2 with 95% confidence probability.

Abstract: The test apparatus of infrared emissivity used in powders industry was researched by controlling the temperature accurately and collecting the signals of surface temperature of two standard samples and a test sample. The tourmaline samples from ten mines had been tested by the new test apparatus. Compared with the results from FTIR, it was shown that average value of relative error was 0.378% and repeatability error was less than 0.6% after correcting by the coefficient kc = 0.958.

Tourmaline as catalyst have extensive applications in the fields of environmental protection, fuel combustion, air purification, printing, deodorant, antibacterial, as well as wastewater treatment of dyeing and aquaculture.

Abstract: The artificial plywood materials were prepared using natural minerals and inorganic oxide powders as the main fillers for urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive instead of flour. The method mentioned above has advantages in saving food resources, reducing cost of plywood, improving the quality of plywood and decreasing the release amount of free formaldehyde. On the basis of the research achievement both domestic, foreign and our experimental data, this paper mainly discussed the effect of filler on adhesive properties, bond strength of plywood, and free formaldehyde content, which provided reference for development of green environmental protection and low cost urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive minerals composite filler.

Abstract: The effect of activated water on the growth of epidermal cells of newborn mice is studied by cell culture in vitro. To investigate the influence of activated water on the growth of cells, parameters of water are measured. Then, biological mechanism about how the water effects on cells is discussed. It shows that activated water has the promoter action to growth of cells comparing with non-activated water by detecting optical density (OD) at 570 nm with the MTT colorimetry. Statistically, the probability P, less than 0.01, is obvious. We believe that water cluster has become smaller and small water clusters are beneficial for transporting nutrients.

Abstract: The chemical composition of tourmaline crystal structure was investigated by using Diamond software and the relationship between the far infrared emissivity and the parameters of composition, structure and particle size of tourmaline materials was analyzed, and then four effective factors on the infrared emissivity were determined. By analyzing the effect of the variables on the emissivity, an effective function of the single variable on the emissivity was set up. Considering the weight coefficient of each factor, a calculation model on the far infrared emissivity of tourmaline was built up. Using this theoretical model, the method to improve the far infrared emission was discussed.
