Abstract: The paper is to design a system that helps to select cutting parameters in standardization data and modular approach. The approach is based on industrial engineering methods defined by modular. The result is the parameters that take into account all the existing restrictive factors. First, a reasonable process to select cutting parameters is proposed. And then, the corresponding tools are designed. To achieve the standardization of the resources and process of cutting parameter selection, the resource contents and query actions are made in a uniform form. Finally, the selection of cutting parameters is realized within a management framework. It provides a scientific basis for selecting cutting parameters in actual production.

Abstract: Based on the description of an information object identification system and aggregate analysis of linear & faceted classification methods, an identification hierarchical construction method and a collection object enumeration method are put forward to model the information object identification system. Its system architecture is constructed and identifying nodes and managing nodes are used to define and associate information objects. According to coding theories, the information identification system is mapped into a visual coding rule system on the condition that the information object architecture, code collection and serialization, and coding constraints are retained. According to a dynamic coding rule tree, rule templates, and code generation methods, the corresponding visual interface is developed. Finally, the XML format is used to design a powerful, extensible and flexible data structure to realize the visual coding rule system.

Abstract: Reasonable selection of materials and their processing methods directly influences the quality and costs of products. Therefore, material information system plays an important role in material research, development, production, application and education. Due to the superiority and development speed of database technology, it has been widely applied to mechanical processing industry, providing technical support for mechanical manufacturing automation. In the paper, a mechanical processing material database system is put forward. Its key technologies and developing approach are discussed in detail. The establishment of processing data information database, which can provide reasonable or optimal technological parameters, is one of the most effective measures to enhance the competitiveness of an enterprise.

Abstract: The shape of metal part is complicated, and its process planning requires high standardization in sheet metal manufacturing. Sheet metal can be modularized for its diversification and succession feature. Modular process planning is discussed by contrasting traditional process planning, and modular process development steps are described. The modularity of process can improve the efficiency and accuracy of process planning for sheet metal computer aided process planning.
