Abstract: The localization of mobile robots is one of important problems for navigation of mobile robots. The wireless sensor network, i.e., Cricket wireless localization technology, was used to obtain motive condition of mobile objects in this study. The information transmission between the Cricket localization system and mobile robot system was achieved for localization, navigation and control of the mobile object. The errors of localization sampling data of the Cricket localization system vary within 3cm in a static condition. The Cricket localization system can meet the navigation requirement of the mobile robots.

Abstract: A there-dimensional finite element model of the working device of a single backhoe-bucket hydraulic excavator was developed to analyze and evaluate the rationality of structure design of the working device in this study. By finite element modal analysis, the resonant frequencies and vibration modes of the working device system were obtained. By dynamic response analysis, the changing trends of stress and strain of the device were obtained. In addition, the influence of different excavating resistance forces to the working device on dynamic response of the device system was compared for large and small resistance forces at the beginning excavation moment. The results show that a large resistance force at the initial excavating moment may result in the device vibrating with large vibration amplitude at the beginning excavation moment. These results might provide useful reference on design improvement of the excavator working device.

Abstract: Aluminum-magnesium alloys were prepared from magnesium oxide by molten salt electrolysis method. MgF2-BaF2-LiF was taken as electrolysis.Since the density of MgF2-BaF2-LiF was high than aluminum liquid, upload cathode of aluminum liquid was used in the tests. Current efficiency during melting was more than 80%, and the maximum was up to 87.7%. Some amount of magnesium oxide flowed into electrolytic cell. The content of Mg in alloys increased gradually and up to maximum of 18.6%(w) with electrolyzing time. The experiment results revealed that the addition of KCl improved the physical-chemical property of the melten salt.

Abstract: Al-Si metal anode was fabricated by cold-press sintering with Al and Si as embedded powder in argon atmosphere. The anti-oxidation in the air and anti-corrosion in molten cryolite properties of Al-Si metal anode at high temperature were examined. The experimental results showed that the oxidation kinetics curve obeyed the parabolic law. The corrosion behavior Al-Si metal anode was studied in electrolysis test. The electrolyte consisted of Na3AlF6(90 wt%),CaF2(5 wt%) and Al2O3(5 wt%) which corresponded to molecular ratio of 2.4. The results indicated that the cell voltage was stable and the electric polarized corrosion rate was higher than the static corrosion rate of metal anode. SEM photographs showed an oxidation film formed in the surface of Al-Si metal anode which can obstruct the further corrosion in molten cryolite. It may be concluded that Al-Si metal anode has good combination property and can replace the carbon anode in the aluminum cell.
