Abstract: A new type anti-surge water transporting vehicle is designed for safety and stability of the vehicle during the driving. In order to study the safety and stability of the water transporting tank, the impact force caused by sloshing of the water transporting vehicle during normal driving, climbing and braking is analyzed respectively; Finally, a simulation test on the vehicle along a road 7000km long is carried out. The results show that the water transporting vehicle is not damaged and overturned under various kinds of worse driving conditions, such as on the road and field road, etc., thus it can meet requirements for safety and stability when driving under all kinds of road conditions.

Abstract: The total consolidation process in the construction of hydraulic fill fly ash dam is calculated and analyzed by using the Biots consolidation theory and Cam-Clay model. Meanwhile, some problems such as characteristics of subsidence, excess pore pressure and stress of dam, influences coming from consolidation of hydraulic fill fly ash dam caused by drainage layer in dam foundation, etc, are analyzed. Results show that constructing hydraulic fill fly ash dam in saturated fly ash ground is feasible, and setting drainage layer in the dam foundation can greatly expedite the consolidation speed of dam, which is propitious to the safety of dam.

Abstract: Based on the finite element method, three models are built: classical solid model, potential flow model and a combination of fluid-structure coupling model. Based on the above model the damping mechanism of tuned liquid damper has been investigated. Study focused on classical solid model and the boundary constrained potential fluid model respectively. After the completion of the above calculation, the analysis of bidirectional fluid-structure interaction model being carried out with the implicit dynamics algorithm. The results shows the contrast of the dynamic response of structure in the hydrated and anhydrous state. The calculations show that: the additional water mass can effectively reduce the natural vibration frequency of the structure, and it also can effectively reduce the displacement and velocity response of structure under vibration loads.

Abstract: The optimum shape of the tunnel is usually decided by many factors. Not only should it ensure the stability of surrounding rock and the advantageous of masonry's stress, but also it need to meet the using requirements of the cavern, the convenience of the construction, the least excavated volume and the best economic results. Seeking the optimal shapes of the carven which is under the specific condition has always been paid great attention by engineers. With the help of ADINA finite element analysis software, this paper imitates related data in elastic theory about the excavation of tunnels with the typical planes of fracture which are under the same geology condition. After that, it contrasts the actual computing results with the theoretical analysis, and then studies planes of fracture's optimal excavated shapes of the tunnels.

Abstract: The six-wing synchronous varying clearance rotors which have been designed for the mixing of short fiber-rubber composite material have special structure, and considering the characteristic of the short fiber-rubber composite material, the flow situation of mixed rubber is very complex. However, the flow field of the six-wing synchronous varying clearance rotors can be analyzed by ADINA. So, the flow situation and mixing situation of the mixed rubber can be analyzed and judged by the FEA results such as the pressure field, viscosity field, shearing force field and velocity field.

Abstract: Suction valve is a critical and vulnerable component in fluid end of large scale diaphragm pump. Slurry flowing state in suction valve affects transport efficiency and operational life span of diaphragm pump directly. It is necessary to analyze internal flow field of suction valve for confirming structural factors which affect flowing state of slurry. In this paper, suction valve of three-cylinder single-acting diaphragm pumps as a research subject, internal flow fields of suction valves which have different structures are simulated by finite element analysis software ADINA. Velocity distribution graphs and vector graphs of flow field can be obtained from analysis results. Flowing characteristic regulations affected by inner structure of valve are summarized. The research results in the paper provide some theoretical guidance for researching and developing of suction valves and relevant products.

Abstract: High temperature medium in the thermal pipeline will affect distortion and stress distribution of the pipe wall, so its very important to analyze the thermal mechanical coupling in thermal pipeline. Numerical simulation of buried thermal pipeline damage under the earthquake action is carried by finite element method-ADINA. Three-dimensional finite element modeling considered site condition is investigated; geometry model is constructed with native and parasolid method in ADINA. Gravity and earthquake force are defined in structure model, and temperature load in thermal model. According to the results of thermal mechanical coupling, the damage of buried thermal pipeline is analyzed. Influence of single temperature load on the stress and strain of buried thermal pipeline is very small, but the stress and circumferential strain increase rapidly under earthquake action. Also, the axial strain is very complex. The temperature load mainly affects axial strain under gravity and earthquake load; the increasing temperature enables to reduce axial strain, which makes axial destruction reduced. Finally, some advice is proposed.

Abstract: Analysis and study high vacuum densification method in the application of soft soil foundation. According to the engineering characteristic and strength characteristics of Dalian coastal area soft soil, using the finite element analysis software ADINA to simulate the high vacuum densification method effect, obtain the changes of foundation displacement, pore water pressure and effective stress. Finally putting forward a reasonable and applicable design according to the processing method of the quality, time limit for a project, cost, environmental protection and so on.

Abstract: Based on the typical overflow dam section of Ahai gravity dam, the cracking calculation was conducted and the crack form was determined, referring to the experimental research result. Then the constraint-function contact algorithm in ADINA was used to study the stability of the upper free body subjected to an earthquake. The analysis results primarily show that the ultimate seismic capacity of Ahai gravity dam is an earthquake whose peak acceleration is between 3.4g and 3.8g.
